MoonDew1
I know I already have this posted in the Mod Talk board, but this is a more fitting board for this sort of question. I've been trying to mod my copy of New Vegas all day, and I always seem to run into an error of some sort. Could someone check my mod list and see what's wrong here, because I'm officially at wit's end: GameMode=FalloutNV FalloutNV.esm=1DeadMoney.esm=1HonestHearts.esm=1OldWorldBlues.esm=1LonesomeRoad.esm=1GunRunnersArsenal.esm=1CaravanPack.esm=1ClassicPack.esm=1MercenaryPack.esm=1TribalPack.esm=1FOOK - New Vegas.esm=1Interior Lighting Overhaul - Core.esm=1FOOK - New Vegas DLCs.esm=1SomeguySeries.esm=1NVInteriors_Core.esm=1Run the Lucky 38.esm=1ELECTRO-CITY - CompletedWorkorders.esm=1AWorldOfPain(Preview).esm=1Project Nevada - Core.esm=1More Perks.esm=1Project Nevada - Equipment.esm=1DWCNV.esm=1More Perks for Dead Money.esm=1ELECTRO-CITY - Highways and Byways.esm=1Project Nevada - Rebalance.esp=1Weapon Mod Expansion.esm=1ProjectBrazil.esm=1Project Nevada - Cyberware.esp=1Project Nevada - Extra Options.esm=1More Perks for Honest Hearts.esm=1More Traits.esm=1More Perks for Old World Blues.esm=1More Perks for Companions.esm=1WME - GRA.esm=1WME - DLCs.esm=1More Perks for Dead Money Update.esp=1Project Nevada - Gun Runners' Arsenal.esp=1More Perks for Old World Blues Update.esp=1FalloutNV_lang.esp=1Mission Mojave - Ultimate Edition.esp=1MMUE POP.esp=1MMUE-CP-ProjectBrazil.esp=1Project Nevada - Dead Money.esp=1Project Nevada - Cyberware Additions.esp=1More Perks for Companions Update.esp=1Interior Lighting Overhaul - Ultimate Edition.esp=1FOOK - New Vegas.esp=1Project Nevada - Rebalance Complete.esp=1ILO - Fallout New Vegas.esp=1Project Nevada - All DLC.esp=1FOOK-PN Convergence.esp=1MMUE-CP-Convergence.esp=1FOOK - New Vegas DLCs.esp=1Improved Throwing1.esp=1MMUE-CP-FOOK.esp=1The Lucky 38 Empire.esp=1EVE FNV - ALL DLC.esp=1DWCNV.esp=1More Perks Update.esp=1PBCheatBoxff.esp=1Project Brazil NV Courier Stash Control.esp=1Project Brazil NV DLC Control.esp=1Project Nevada - Honest Hearts.esp=1WeaponModsExpanded.esp=1ILO - A World of Pain.esp=1WMX-PreOrderPackTribal.esp=1Project Nevada - WMX.esp=1Project Nevada - WME.esp=1WMX-PreOrderPackMercenary.esp=1FOOK-PN-WME-WMX-EVE Convergence.esp=1Project Nevada - EVE All DLC.esp=1EVE FNV - NO GRA.esp=1WME - GRA - Complete.esp=1TheInheritance.esp=1AWOPDeadMoney.esp=1AWOP Interior Music.esp=1WME - GRA - Vendor Reform.esp=1FOOK-PN-AWOP Weapon Convergence.esp=1WME - GRA - All Weapons.esp=1EVE FNV - NO DLC.esp=1MMUE-CP-WMX.esp=1MMUE-CP-AWOP+NVInteriors.esp=1MMUE-CP-PNEquipment.esp=1Project Nevada - Lonesome Road.esp=1MMUE-CP-PNRebalance.esp=1Project Nevada - EVE No DLC.esp=1Project Nevada - EVE No GRA.esp=1Weapon Mod Expansion.esp=1WME - GRA - Just Guns.esp=1MMUE-CP-WMEVE.esp=1GRA - The Right to Bear Arms -Vendors Untouched.esp=1MMUE-CP-ILO.esp=1NVInteriors_Combo_AWOP_Tweaks_DLC.esp=1MMUE-CP-Electrocity.esp=1AWOPDeadMoneyVendorPatch.esp=1ILO - GS Shack.esp=1AWOP DLC + GRA Conflict Error Fixes.esp=1NewVegasBounties.esp=1NewVegasBountiesII.esp=1NewVegasKiller.esp=1AWOP DLC Conflict Error Fixes.esp=1AWOP NO DLC Conflict Error Fixes.esp=1WME - GRA - Unique Integration.esp=1KingOfTheRing.esp=1MMUE-CP-PNCore.esp=1More Traits Update.esp=1More Perks for Honest Hearts Update.esp=1WME - GRA - Weapon Integration.esp=1WMEVE - FOOK - All DLCs.esp=1MMUE-CP-WME-Complete.esp=1WME - DLCs Arenovalis.esp=1WMX-GunRunnersArsenal.esp=1WME - GRA - Arenovalis.esp=1WMX-OldWorldBlues.esp=1WME - DLCs.esp=1WMX-DeadMoney.esp=1WMX-LonesomeRoad.esp=1Project Nevada - Old World Blues (No Cyberware).esp=1MMUE-CP-PNALLDLC.esp=1WMX-HonestHearts.esp=1WMX-ModernWeapons.esp=1FOOK-PN-WME-WMX-MW.esp=1WMX-PreOrderPackClassic.esp=1WMX-PreOrderPackCaravan.esp=1WMX-EVE-AllDLC.esp=1MMUE-CP-EVE.esp=1Zan_AutoPurge_SmartAgro_NV.esp=1 Thanks in advance. M48A5
You need your load order straightened out. It look like you used LOOT instead of B.O.S.S. Get B.O.S.S. here: http://boss-developers.github.io/ You have conflicting patches. For example: Project Nevada - EVE no DLC and no GRA when you have DLCs (DownLoadable Content) and GRA (GunRunners Arsenal). I couldn't find EVE, do you have it installed? When you have multiple .esm or .esp for the same mod, they should be grouped together, in the same order as the vanilla game. And all compatibility patches should load after the last mod they are patching. Hope this helps.
MoonDew1
Which patches should I use? If I install it one way I need a merged DLC patch, but if I use the merged DLC patch then it'll tell me I need to separate that patch! Please tell me, I've spent all day trying to figure this out and I am at wit's end! How do I set up these thrice-damned mods!?
M48A5
In order for the patch to work and not crash your game, you have to have all the mods that are being patched. You have Project Nevada - EVE no DLC, yet you have the DLC and not EVE, therefore, instant crash. You need to get your mods into an order where you can see what you have and what you don't. With the mess you posted it is almost impossible to see what you have. Let alone having them work properly. I will say again, when you have a mod with more than one .esm or more than one .esp, they should be arranged in a group, in the same order as the vanilla game. Meaning, all the Project Nevada .esp grouped together, all the FOOK .esp grouped together, etc. To make things easier, download and install B.O.S.S. This will give you a beginning to a correct load order.
MoonDew1
Now it's asking for Shotgun Commando.esp Just tell me exactly which mods and patches I need to install in order to get this to work. I'm not asking now, I'm begging! I've been working on this all day, and I've made no progress. I'm at wit's end here. Please, please, PLEASE someone, anyone, help me out here! I'm not even close to kidding, I am THIS close to putting my fist through my computer's monitor out of sheer frustration! If anyone could help me out here I'd be eternally in their debt. drithius
Your load order is quite possibly the worst I've ever seen. Mod descriptions and instructions are there for a reason. Don't toss a jumble of files into your game and expect others to come to your rescue when the ramifications come to bear. If this is your first modding effort, start off small. And read. MoonDew1
...Which files should I exclude? Which patches should I use? What other mods do I need? Just tell me! I've spent a whole day already on this, I'm not sure my sanity could take another one! Look, I don't need all of the mods, I just want as many of them as possible. MoonDew1
Okay, I've uninstalled all of my mods, I'm now ready to reinstall the right way...as soon as someone tells me the right way. I don't care about the mod order, I'll let BOSS handle that, but that means nothing if I don't have the right mods/patches, so could someone PLEASE tell me what the right mods and patches are? I'd do it myself if I could, and I have tried it myself. Right now, you guys are my only hope.
M48A5
Here is the best advice I can give you: http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/652876-fallout-3-modding-and-you/ It is for Fallout3, but it applies to any Bethesda game. You need to start with a stable running base game before you can start modding. Play through the introduction sequence and then make a save. You need a stable base before you can start adding to it. Once you have a hard save, you can start adding the mods you want, one at a time and start with the save you made to check that everything is working properly. It takes time to get a stable modded game running. It is not something where you can add a hundred mods and have the game running in an afternoon. You will have to read the mod description page and the comments section for each mod to find out what patches you need. Just keep in mind, if the patch is for EVE- Project Nevada, you need both EVE and Project Nevada installed and active.
