I waited for the call. I waited in the yard. I waited on the front porch. I waited in the hall.

There was no sounds from within. I began to think I had gotten away with my act. When in fact it worked. All too well.

I sat in the hall. Heard the voices in the office. I waited noting the things on the walls.

The big red box with a latch on it with a handle. The fire hose rolled up inside. I noted the buildings bulletin board.

Pinned to it were papers, pictures, and a bunch of holiday plans. Vacation in far away lands.

I pondered the different notes. I pondered the pictures. I pondered the palm tree in the middle of a picture.

It looked warm and cozy. I sat there in the cool air. I sat there waiting. The voices in the office muffled by the door. Glass windows on both sides of it that were funny because I couldn't see through them. Weird! Why have windows you can't see through?

I listened. Waiting for someone to come out. Waiting for a person to call to me. I would have gone to the door and opened it if they had shouted my name to too. But they seemed content to talk. Just not loud enough through the mufflers. The window in the door, the two windows on both sides, and the wall surrounding them muffled words they said.

I wondered if I should get up and go stand by the door and listen. Maybe I would be able to hear what they were saying. The wooden bench I sat on was not comfortable anymore. I stood up. I checked my clothes. Tucked in my shirt. Tightened my belt. Look around for a place where I could check my hair. I knew it was neat enough. I just wanted to be sure. I was told not to go anywhere. I stood there looking down the hall. I could see a sign. Restrooms.

I walked to the door to the restrooms. I chose the one with me in mind. I opened it. I walked in. Inside I found a mirror. I frowned at the person staring back at me. Took out my comb. Combed back the lock of hair that the person who told me to sit in the hall had shook loose.

I looked at the mirror. I smiled at the person looking back at me. I saw the door to the toilet behind me was open. Something was odd about it. I was too short to raise up and see what was down behind that door. Slowly I turned. A little at a time. Until I was all the way around so I could see.

The janitor was kneeling facing in toward the toilet. I heard what sounded like a grumble. Then a gush. He'd flushed the toilet.

I had on my Keds. So my feet didn't let it be known I was there. I walked to the door. I exited through. I went back toward the bench. I could hear the voice in the office getting louder as I grew near.

Someone shouted. They shouted so loud I heard every word through the glass windows, door, and wall.

I stopped. I turned to the door. I reached out to grab the handle. I turned it. It suddenly turned itself right out of my grip. It flew open pushing me backwards across the hall. I struggled not to fall. I bumped into the wooden bench. The person in the doorway shadow reached all the way to my feet. I looked at it. I followed it with my eyes. I surmised a giant must be there. Oh what kind of trouble was I in.

There was no one there. Not even a louse to mess up my day even more. Through the opened door I walked into the room half expecting to be surprised by a louse or a girl who I saw go in with the person who had put his hand on me and told me to wait out in the hall. No one. Not a living thing. I wondered what all the stuff in the rooms in there was for.

Nothing exciting! I walked back to the restroom to see if the janitor was still there. He was. But nothing I did got him to move and he just kept barking up his lunch and flushing the toilet.

I walked out of the restrooms. I walked past the station where I recalled seeing people before. I walked to the self opening doors. I walked out. I walked down the ramp instead of the stairs. I turned around quickly to see if anyone else was there besides me. I looked up at the building. There were some signs. Hospital and red cross blinking On and Off.

Two full city blocks were empty of anyone. I heard some noise. I turned toward where it was coming from. I saw people running away. A shadow fell across mine. I turned to look.

When I saw who it was I turned all the way around. Hi! Dad! Where are all the people going?

He shrugged his shoulders. The look on his face assured me he didn't know. Maybe they are going to the beach?

The janitor came out of the hospital. Took one look at my family. He covered his mouth. Then ran right back into the hospital.

Mom, Marylin, Grandpa, Dad, and I all got in the car.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I sat back on my chair pillow. I looked out the window. Snow still falling down, that is likely to fall until noon tomorrow. With the snow coming down I wondered if I wanted to watch another episode of The Munsters.

I thought better of it.

I better get busy and rustle up some supper first.

As I had planned to get up a note arrived in my email. I opened it up. Someone remembered my Birthday!

I was barely out of my bed this morning when I heard what I thought was odd for this time of year. I thought it was odd, because the machines working on the road had been out there stirring up the dust and dirt while replacing it. The new and extended sewer pipes were installed.

All they had to do was bury it all.

It was so quiet. I looked out the window and could see why. Snow. Four inches of fresh snow. The weather forecast foretold even more.

I guess it's going to be a long day and night. I've got the whole television series and episodes now of the Addams Family too.

Another call from a well wisher gave me a feeling they were so busy all day they didn't have time to visit while the sun shone all of the white powdery delight decorating all the Halloween Yard Ornaments outside. I did hope the two Gargoyles at the entrance, the screaming pumpkin head, the frogs, the red capped bearded yard Dwarf yodeling out there oblivious to the tall yellow breasted red dragon behind him that appeared to be ready to bow down and eat him would be a delight for those who still enjoy Halloween yards fill with ornamental arrangements. Even the large appearing hand carved likened to wood plastic graveyard yard cross barely peered out of the snow today.

Warmer air is supposedly going to bring a thaw this afternoon. I hope it lasts awhile, for those who have a road path to complete. Then they could finish the roads toppings so we could travel along the unknown avenue at the end of the street. It was just a dirt trail which once upon had a railroad track for ore bearing cars either coming or going from the Anaconda, no not a snake, Smelter.

I remember little about all that went on. A little more than most of the residences in the town outside the mound at the end of Smelter Avenue. Soil turned into a golf course east of here, land above where the 2nd Tallest Chimney in the whole wide World is just a hill now.

People came and dynamited the smoke stack one day back in 1984.

People lined a road named Wire Mill Road all the way from 9th Street to side of old 19th street along Wire Mill Road. They didn't party, they didn't make music, they didn't shout words of joy. They all blubbered in their brews, cried their farewells, and were made poorer for the sight of the tall reminder of what supported their families since 1904.

The dynamite exploded. Bricks and mortar floated away as the towering chimney started to fall. Crushing itself furthering along it's broader base.

To everyone's surprise the attempt didn't finish it.

Like a giant refusing to die it still held up a portion of it's towering stack which made everyone's eyelids go wide.

After the dust settled; old and young dashed in after a brick or a memento of the remains. Some took to eyeing it caring for it's wound. Some peered on with respect for what still stood. It stood holding up. Maintaining a strong reminder of it's years of worth.

Standing stable and watching over it's children as they thronged in. Some even got close and gave it a palm kiss.

The next day all that were still whispering in their tears watched as the second round of dynamite took down the giant once and for all.

It would be nice if they finished up and made the road stable for the old ghosts in their cars to drive by, and the ghosts of the children without, so as not to make them have to walk all the way back to the Smelter Avenue.

The ghosts of long ago children and their parents then could walk upon and around the block on the Unknown Road once more.

I dropped a bug bomb inside the computer room wall were a little door that has a faucet handle to turn off the house's water supply is. The sideboards on the floor started sending fumes into the room under the furniture and all across the carpet. When I realized it was filling the room instead of being contained in the walls I departed.

I was sad to see the base boards leaking so fumes came in from the wall at the bottom behind them. That just means the people who put the walls in didn't finish the base of the sheet rock walls. They left a gap so they weren't sealed at the bottom. When I examined the baseboards I realized the builders covered the spaces with cedar frame strips for window frames. I pulled on one of them to test it and it came lose since sheetrock doesn't hold picture frame nails well at all.

I returned to the house after the two hour airing time was over. The next morning when I arose from sleep I searched and I saw a single strand in all the beams of sunlight from just one of the spiders known as a dust mite. In the sunlight beam coming in I could see all the little signs of dust and only one web strand showing me that one of them escaped the bomb.

Last night I spent all night cleaning the computer room. Found enough small crumbs from pizzas, broken potato chips, and cookie pieces to feed small creatures for a year. Thanks to the door to the water valve the gas bug killer filled all the walls around and the ceiling overhead will be clear of any bugs for 6 months (All Winter) so there won't be any mice living off of the usual bugs that get into to the walls. They usually start moving in around Autumn time as the cooler weather threatens their existence outside. So a house bomb gasing the walls within sends a message to them to keep out. And because of that little wall trap door it kept the house from having been filled with the Bug Bombs contents. Most of it passed around the walls and ceiling in the house which didn't allow as much of the interior of the house getting saturated and that is nice.

Having to clear out all exposed items like opened cereal boxes or bags of ingredients, like flour, sugar, and foods stuff is a lot of work just to make ready for Winter.

Have a Safe and Happy Halloween!

No bugs or mice  will be making their rounds while I am sleeping  or so focussed :woot: on a video game they could sneak up and get a piece of pizza to run off with. If you like mice or have a living bug collection in your home you can keep them under control, more power to you. Don't worry about the mice or bugs around outside my house they'll hibernate or have lived their natural lives as Nature intended. R.I.P. bugs.

I found an old copy of SIVA! written by both Walt Richmond and his wife that was published around 1967, i.e., before his wife Leigh Richmond edited revised and republished it again in 1977. The older copy had references to their joint efforts as Sci-Fi authors and direction to his previous work *The Lost Millennium* by Walt Richmond which SIVA! was mentioned in and was a follow up. I passed along the older 1960's copy of SIVA! without edits, to a reader of what was popular at the time *The Chariots of the Gods*.

SIVA! was a follow up of *The Lost Millennium* which as I pointed out; after Walt's death his wife Leigh did change it a lot. (Leigh? Star Wars? I wonder if George Lucas read or even has a copy of *The Lost Millennium* and 1960's *SIVA!* of his own on a bookshelf somewhere gathering dust? Maybe it's up in one of his attics?!)

There were so many references in Scientific Journals to the times during 1901 to 1940 of the finds of archaeological, anthropological, and paleontological finds before during, and after many archaeological, paleontological, and anthropological digs uncovered even more astonishing finds. Some Archaeological finds of which were in American. Michigan for one! david_hatcher_childress_zecharia_sitchin_wayne__bookzz.org_.pdf

I found that More people around the world during WWII were made aware of the pyramids find via an earlier version of *The Mummy* movie. Which later again was introducing the pyramid, the curses, one of which was a mummy with Boris Karloff in 1932, (Leigh Richmond was born during 1911 she would have been how old in 1932?) (Note; a movie made 10 years after 1922 the pyramid's tomb was unearthed with the so-called curses) as one of the curses from the pyramid they uncovered only a few years before.

In science fictions of the 1950-1960s and even into the 1970's that made those sci-fi seem realistic enough to believe; were there people more highly advanced in what is considered todays mobile phones, electronic notepads, laptops and computers with wi-fi, Mi-Fi Internet technology? Hm? My little drivel and exciting horror story easily took a look back in time for a drooling child seeking the TRUTH as Ripley's Believe it! OR NOT! would have us seek.

Have a Safe and Happy Halloween!

I found the words I wrote to remind me what my Seder Motel Mystery mod was going to grow into and out of. It would have made Trump's Golden Skyscraper a forgotten relic. It would have made the city building mods forgotten. It would have given players an idea of what it was like moving into a BRAND SPANKING NEW HOTEL 100+ stories talls.

Oh! The lead in was getting the underground river to turn a steam boat paddle wheel for an undisclosed amount of electricity that would have light up the Hotel on Opening Day.
I had planned for 2 huge columns to slowly sink down and when their beveled heads reached the concrete drive in parking lot entrance the entrances four gates would have been cleared to allow vehicles in. The columns bottom ends had the paddle wheel's drive shafts. One with a gear to settle down into the drive box for the main house of electric power Addam and his team were in charge of.
Once the columns settled the driveway opened, the power with enough light to give Washington a new power supply the owner of Seder Hotel and all s/he's investors would have become the crown of the city.
But! Because the destruction occurred, dust, ash, and storms buried the building. One day a lone wandering would find the power station. With the help of a friend they could have thrown the two switches. One to lower the columns and one to lock the paddle wheel in the drive after it sank down into the river.
When the two cylindrical columns sank into place a mound of Earth outside the driveway would collapse. Tons of old ash and soil would crumbled. Robots would have been sent out to clear the way. The front of the hotel lights would come on and the front doors would be cleared little by little. From the back of the hotel kitchen the lone wanderer with a companion and, Dog Meat, with Addams brief case and key card they could begin investigating further. With the power full on everything electrical would be up and running.
Once in the lobby they'd find a few more clues using the keycard of the owners left behind that Addam had acquired when the bombs were dropped. In the interior of the hotel; since the interior was never exposed to life, it would be in perfect condition with the robots that came to life when the roofs solar panels had been cleared by winds during the long vacant years. They would be cleaning and keeping it fit for the GRAND OPENING DAY.
While the Hotel waited. The winds cleared the roof enough to get solar power collectors working. Stationed robot were fully charged and began their routine maintenance and cleaning of the hotel. Even the outside was slowly being cleared of dirt by robot window cleaners. Their range didn't allow the heap of dirt piled all the way to the top. Only the width of their robot frames and a few inches of space where dust, ash, and dirt was rubbed away was clear. The tall hotel was encased.
The whole outside of the building was made of solar collective glass, that could change from clear transparent glass to translucent and even change colors or provide images so they were murals as well.
By the time the ideas I had were on paper I was seeing a dream coming true. All the people finding the hotel had to do was find the entrance to the maintenance team outside, a briefcase with the owners keycard, all the documents of ownership, and then go through to a tunnel that opened in the kitchen. Once inside the lobby a problem occurs. Although having the owners key card it doesn't activate everything. A room where Addams team was supposed to turn on other parts of hotel the day the bombs fell has to be accessed. A wire puzzle in the main box has to be figured out to start the elevators. Another key card for the stairs door. Another keycard to open the door to the main deliveries elevator. Each time any puzzle to get to a floor is solved a bit more of the hotel is exposed to the open air as part of the mound it is encased in falls away; and the third electric box full of a wire puzzle, the toughest one, when compete sends the robots out to maintain the grounds.
Then through a couple of doors the entrance to the back of lobby.
After you get the robots charged up. The first floor above the lobby becomes open. And like in Fallout New Vegas you would find the apartments (Each in perfect condition, not decaying and dirty) all yours for living quarters and for storage. Multiplayer time! Yup. The game would have advanced to where you and other Real players could team up. And I had designs in mind to go on with it into the future. Online play!
From then on 1 quest after another, allows access to each floor up. Until you reach the penthouse. Then; from Fallout 3, you would have been able to use the owners keycard to enter the Penthouse as the new owner with friends, or a team of scavengers of the D. C..
The hotel would open up and give your Wastelands adventures surprises an archaeologist would have become famous for.
Oh! Thor would have been able to add his remarkable research from his online surfing searching into the Ancient world discoveries to it too. Knowing Thor he would have had pages and plastered walls with historical paintings and he; and others might throw in 3D touring with 3D images of real archaeology, paleontology, and other finds.
The other artist's I had in my friends list, 260 of them, who made a career out of paintings they did themselves, mod's of theirs too, would have had the studio on the main floor to display all their artistic work.
With the key to the penthouse all sorts of technology would open up: from Solar panel powered refrigeration to the classic windmill power supply too.
Oh! What a dream I awakened from this morning. A convention with hundreds of people exploring with modern equipment and discussing putting real REAL discoveries into the game just so it became a fun and good way to lock in the fascinating worlds hidden treasures from the past. In a way it would be like the Smithsonian, only all in the Hotel, that could have been merged into their real museum 3D tours.
Imagine! Hundreds of Seder Hotels all holding the histories of all the different people who made them into their museums so no artifact ever was buried away in some warehouse, or down in one of the lower floors of the museums never to be seen again, in this great unlimited space called Cyberspace. IMAGINE!
I was surely dreaming! Not daydreaming. The only reason I awakened from all the excitement?! o_O Well! Would you believe...

I awakened from a dream sleep I was in because I was thinking of a word to aid in explaining something to the person I could see from my dream sleeping self eyes. I awakened without realizing the word I knew, but couldn't remember just then.

I again was dreaming in my sleep. Devices around a room were all set up for decoration and some for the rooms maintenance. A vacuum cleaner that would automatically start and vacuum the floor all over the huge space I could see. A pet or a toy resembling one got my attention and again I found myself confounded by the need to for a word to explain what I was sure would adjust my dream sleep sights idea of what I was going on about.

Again! I awakened from sleep. How many times does my mind demand it, when all I do is push a mouse about and tap a keyboard. Working my mind so much and not my body as much anymore. This time when I awakened I felt the air of the room cooling my arms exposed to the rooms temperature. I only awakened from the change in temperature. All the while I was dreaming and feeling the same temperature all over my body I dreamed I was somewhere else. Somewhere in a building larger than my wooden tent, this campsite I imagined I would turn into a large palace one day. This place that turned out to be a remodeled part of an old Hotel in which I live most of the time where a boiler used to be in the space.

Strange. It stays warmer in this room almost all the time. Ten to twenty degrees warmer than the floor above where the heater thermostat is. I set the thermostat to 61 degrees F. and it gets a cozy 70 degrees F. down here during these longer nights, down here, while I sleep. Does the boiler play a role in the spirit of the old Hotel and keep heating it, even though it's metal body, coal fire chamber, and heated water tank do not exist in this space and time?

Dream sleep is where I seem to see it now. A hotel with space enough for all that I own to be given enough room for me to walk around without bumping into shelved items. And not having the item that seemed to me to be a friendly pet, maybe, that only needed a gentle touch to calm both it and so comforted me that I awakened again.

A calmer sense of security made it so I awakened from the hotel, which was once a larger part of this shell, this fragment of it? While in my dreams sleep all the rooms it affords me fills my needs, and makes me feel uncrowded, comfortable with all that is inside, so the crowded way items are in this room now don't get brushed against and pushed around while I am just adjusting the cushions to make them into a lounge chair, a couch, or a bed.

One of these days will I wake up here no more? One of these days will I remain at the more spacious place? Or when I sleep the final sleep will all be cleared from my mind and I will be, Never more?

I feel as if Edgar Allen Poe's words in the book he wrote become blended in with my reality as a part of my life here and now too. The Raven. Nevermore!
