Switch
Please flesh out your posts a bit more than that oblivion234. Just posting one liners is spam around here. Thanks. (Here's a link to the rules if you haven't already read them).
t4t3rs
Not sure... I did like the game for the first couple of missions, but then it got extremely redundant and boring. :\I did get a kick out of destroying Hoth instead of attacking it like in the movie ;) MWAHAHA!It's a worthy game, but boring. In the Star Wars series I would recommend:KOTOR, Jedi Academy, Battlefront I/II, and to my greatest surprise Star Wars LEGO (lol). That last one didn't sound all that good until I played it - it's somewhat childish, but it's a lot of fun. :)One note on KOTOR2 - it is a very good game, however it has too many holes and bugs. I really wish they took their time and polished it and added more content. From playing it I have to say that it has potential to be even better than KOTOR1, but ... it isn't. :\ Worth playing though. Waiting for a blessings of Gods now - hopefully someone makes KOTOR3. ;)Oh and also, if you are a hardcore RPG played, I think KOTOR series would be the best. assassin no1
hi all you oblivion modders out there yea star wars at war did have many bugs but it was still an ok game, i agree it has some dull moments. You have to like rts games to get the full enjoyment out of them, my favorite one is rise of nations. its a very addictive game.
DeathmatchTheTitan
I personaly did not like Rise of nations. But that is of topic and should be put somewhere else. Empire at war was okay yet had a second boring rebel mision.3/5 is the score i gave it.
Peregrine
Played the demo and it was so awful I refused to even dignify the game with pirating it. Some issues: 1) Pre-built bases are just stupid and take away too much freedom of tactics. And even worse, it's a huge killer of suspension of disbelief to have arbitrary rules like that. 2) The graphics were awful. The close-up camera views were just painful to look at. 3) Space combat sucks. 4) Combat in general sucks, and is just a re-do of evey other RTS game from the past 10 years. 5) The units suck. Stop making up new and poorly designed units when you have a long list of existing ones people want to see. We buy Star Wars games to use Star Wars ships, not "generic RTS tank #15". 6) The maps are way too small. They don't feel like a planet at all. The space ones are even worse, and are so cramped it's just absurd... it's open space, I should have more freedom of movement! So in short, some good ideas with removing mid-battle unit production and the space/ground connection, but terrible execution.
