I'm Going Backwards In The Queue!

Hello, I've been attempting to use the que system for awhile now , and am sorry to say , it isn't very functional on my end. Currently I am using internet explorer , have both sites on my trusted lists, and have followed the instructions to the right numerous times. Firewalls and pop-up blockers have been turned off, and I've let it sit for an hour only to have it at an even higher number still. I know there are enough complaints already, just decided to follow the right side message at the bottom as well :P . I'll look into this as well and see what I can come up with , but if you find out first, tell us, thanks.

Edit: Worked, and I doubt it if this was the cause... but I went back to the modem options, and chose Dialup - Then when the window popped up, quickly changed to broadband(Misclicked in the first place) , and seemingly that brought me to 0 and let me download. Will look more into it me thinks.

Decided to post a more detailed bug report item in this thread, which in retrospect I shoulda done in the first place.

Anyway...Uh, hum.

Okay, generally, most of the time, the queue system refuses to work, I did manage to finally successfully download #2867 "Akaviri Imports" just now, BUT the popup box still only displays negative queue numbers, which fluctuate wildly, and the bugfix which I tried does not work.

To my knowledge, I don't have any firewalls installed, however if I do, it'd be XP's defualt one, which I have NO idea whatsoever how to access (mostly 'cause I have only limited computer knowledge).

I run Firefox, and refuse to use IE for anything, as doing so results immedietly in my computer gaining several dozen types of spyware programs automagically.

I'm not entirely sure how to edit security settings in firefox, which could possibiliy be causing the problem, any advice would be much obliged.

I got a *censored* with download 2865..that file is non-surprisingly most wanted so getting in the queue at all is tricky...i succeded 3 times but at the last second my comp cant read or open the source thiengie..got a german error code..might be similiar than with the problem with the 75% retextured ui.mod..so my stupid broswer might dont like the 20% titles within the zip-file...how can i get a file name without percent numbers..or can i change it by myself..i remember someone posted a corrected link for UI Mod than works for my system too, although almost all other had no problems with the default link..very likely..i will try if i can find the old thread and compare the download links...until later..nervertheless many thanks

What I really need is to be in contact with a person who is getting this problem all the time via MSN so I can troubleshoot the problem directly with them. If anyone is willing to communicate with me via MSN for 30 mins while I fix the problem then I'd really appreciate it.

I can't fix a bug that I can't recreate so I need someone to be my eyes while I fix it!

No matter what I do (Yes I have added to trusted sites, etc) I always get the little info bar popup that blocks the download. Running Internet Explorer here. And then when I click "download file" it restarts me back at the beginning of the queue. Funny thing is I downloaded a few mods here and there and sometimes it doesn't even take me to the new queue thing it just starts the download immediately.

I'm at a loss what to do, you would think if it's added to your trusted sites you wouldn't keep getting that info bar popup, but I do, everytime. :(

Sometimes I don't go into the queue and imediately if the queue comes up the numbers just go higher and higher and the download never starts, I'm running AOLs default spyware and firewall running windows XP. I've waited over 30 minutes and the numbers don't go down and the download never starts. I apperciate that you run this wonderful site but presently its unuseable to me.

Also having a problem. Trying to download Oblivion Cats 0.2b. Got into the queue and it looked correct (showed my position as a positive number and estimated time to get my download all looked right). When the 20 second auto-refresh occurs half of the time I get an IE: Could not open the page error page. Hitting F5 would refresh my queue display. Occassionally, I would get the server message that the queue was down, hitting F5 would again refresh my display and I was still in the queue properly on both cases. However, when it game up to my turn to download I got the IE: could not open error again, upon refreshing it showed garbled text that looked like it tried to open the file instead of download it. I tried to refresh again and ended up back at the queue, only this time is said that there were 180ish people in the queue and I had to wait 10 second to determine my position... I never got a position update. Therefore I never got the file.

I'm using the latest version of IE 6 on XP Pro, no firewall.
