CausticMardock
So, when I first got New Vegas I booted it up and played a bit. I then wanted to get mods and ignorantly tried to install them manually (via dragging files into NV folders). After doing this, my game would not start up; it would give me an error saying that the game doesn't work. I then got the New Vegas mod manager, and it finally worked after installing the mods from there again and launching it via it (although when using the regular shortcut it still doesn't let me pull up the game; gives me same error as before.) SO! As I started playing the game more and more, I was getting annoyed by the lagginess and attempted to uninstall some of the mods I was using (via the NVMM). But when I try to uninstall any of my mods, it wouldn't work. It tells me that they uninstalled successfully, but when I launch the game, the mods are still in effect. What's happening? How can I fix this? The mods I think are in effect are: FNV Realistic Wasteland Lighting, Mojave Delight for Type3, DIOMIZED TYPE3 female body (lel), DYNAMO ENB, and enbseries_falloutnv_v0249. I apologize in advance if I'm missing something obvious or did something really stupid, I'm extremely new at this.
ArekkusuStorm
Did you remove the mods that you manually installed? Because NMM doesn't completely overwrite files. When you uninstall mods, it will restore the files it overwrote during installation. 2. The lag you're experiencing is most likely because of the enb (that, you have to manually install). kelticpete
I found that many of the "make graphics better" mods lag computers. some of them are built for high end graphics cards. realize that changing some setting can super increase the amount of pixel crunching (not a technical term that your card has to do. I gave up on ENB's with my rig. When I had both weather change mod and textures mod it was too laggy. then I stopped weather mod and it was fine. if you uninstalled mods and they are still there, you can uncheck them in options. but it sounds like your mods are a bit messed up. sometimes it is best to just get rid of everything. I mean the whole game files, all mods etc. that is why they created NMM, so that mods install and uninstall better. don't manually delete any mod you added with NMM, it remembers what it installed and crashes if something is missing. (I have had to delete NMM temp files to fix that if you have the FNV CD this is not too bad. if you have to redownload through steam it is a pain and you shiould just start download and then do something else for the 5 hours or so it takes. with both skyrim and FNV I have deleted everything at least twice. the nexus will list all the mods you downloaded in past, so that you don't have to write them all down. some people may have a better fix
Ethreon
Your game is mostly lagging because of the ENB. It really eats through your PC's resources. Also, since you don't know what else to do to remove the mods, I suggest a clean install. Make a copy of your game save files, uninstall game via steam, go to the folder where you installed the folder and delete it completely, then reinstall game and add mods via NMM or FOMM. Don't install mods manually if you don't know how to do that correctly or it will end up bad.
