wolron
I figure that this is a spoiler for anyone that reads it because from what I have seen in the manual for the game, there is no attempt to give any idea as to what the objective of the game is. My major concern is that there is no answer to my request. We shall see. My Request: Provide a thumb-nail sketch of what you do in this game and keep it short (50 words or less). I shall give you an example based on a game that I just finished (several times). The game is ARCANUM. The quick overview is: You discover that there is a great evil ready to fall upon the land and you are to oppose it. You have a clue (a ring and the dying words of a dwarf) and as you follow a string of clues, you are led to a final battle with the evil. OK, that was about 50 words, close enough. There are many ways to play ARCANUM and get to the end. It is even possible to change sides and join the ranks of the evil one. But for most, there is the single objective of discovering the source of the evil threat and defeating it. My concern is that Morrowind is too much like real life!! You can do whatever you please (within the constraints of your material and spiritual resources) and it only ends in death (at which point, the vast majority of what you did becomes meaningless). Don't get me wrong, I am not soured on life, and I don't think that I am soured on Morrowind. I have discovered the meaning to life. I just am not sure that I am ready for another challenge like that one!
