Mattiewagg
I know there are a lot out there. I looked at these, and they were great, but for guns. I was wondering if there are any similar (very detailed, 3DS Max) tutorials on modeling for SKYRIM, i.e. swords and such. So just the ones that really got you guys going. Also, texturing tutorials for Photoshop or GIMP, preferably GIMP but Photoshop works too. Again, pretty detailed. Thank you guys very much. huntsman2310
Well, TESalliance has some very good tutorials covering modelling and texturing for Oblivion and Skyrim. Check out their site and have a look around. Most of their modelling tutorials are based upon Blender and Nifskope, though, because the program is free and has is very comparable to 3DS Max. As for textures, I started out by doing retextures of a few things for some mods I'm in the process of developing, and I'm just starting to make my own textures now for a mod that adds in clothing and weapons from RWBY, and a clothing mod for Legend of Korra. Matth85
What do you define as "modelling for Skyrim"?The only Skyrim-specific step with modelling consist of exporting. Otherwise you shouldn't ever search for an tutorials with the word "skyrim" or "oblivion" in it. Sword modelling for Gameshttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U0QvFYf_Q_E 3Ds Max sword Tutorialhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ytHg3Mm5eo Any tutorials on Digital Tutor Mega Weapon Tutorial, if you use Zbrush.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sQNcO8AL2hw Watch me when I stream weapon creations:http://www.hitbox.tv/Matth85 Edited August 31, 2014 by Matth85

Hoamaii
You can also check Nightasy's great tutorials series : http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/19249/. I learned all about 3D and textures with him. It's focused on armors, not weapons, but they are very detailed about the whole process of modelling and texturing - really great to get started. Once you have the model and textures right, you should have no pb finding tutorials explaining how to export them as weapons to Nifskope. Good luck :). Derok
Some suggestions by an hobbyist modeller and texturer:Zbrush is really expensive, so use Sculptris instead (it's free). Also high poly models aren't always necessary (unless you are making organic stuff). If textures are detailed enough and you added some shading, a plugin for both Gimp/Photoshop can create detailed looking normals, and save lot of work.I recommend a drawing tablet for 3d sculptring, and can be useful with texturing depending on what are you doing. Mattiewagg
Sculptris instead of 3DSMax?
Derok
Nope, it's an high poly sculpting softwaere. If you want a free alternative able to export nifs it's blender.
