grimstride Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 I apologize if i've posted this in the wrong section but i need some help with figuring out if these specs will be enough to run the game. I'm getting a new pc (yes i am a bit late to the party) and the game im most excited about is skyrim. So would it run on max settings with the High Resolution Texture Pack on the following specs AMD Quad Core A8-5500 APU 3.2GHz, 8GB DDR3 RAM , GeForce GT640 3GB DDR3
Novem99 Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 (edited) It will run in no overwhelming way: http://media.bestofmicro.com/7/P/339829/original/Skyrim-1920.png http://www.hardwareluxx.de/images/stories/galleries/reviews/2013/gainward-gt-640-gk208/diagramme/skyrim-1920aaaf.png That graphics card is really poor. You really should spent more money if you are so excited to play Skyrim. With these specs you shouldn't think about other HD mods or even an ENB! Edited August 31, 2014 by Novem99
Valkasha Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 You'll get poor FPS even on vanilla Skyrim with that card :(
tejano2828 Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 I agree with above get the GTX 780 mine runs smooth as butter on the highest settings with 255 mods running and tons of textures....your cpu looks fine
Valkasha Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 You don't need to get the gtx 780 to run Skyrim smoothly unless you got loads of HD texture mods a heavy ENB, etc.
grimstride Posted August 31, 2014 Author Posted August 31, 2014 (edited) How about SAPPHIRE HD 7850? Will i be able to enjoy enb? Edited August 31, 2014 by grimstride
Valkasha Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 7850 should be plenty to run Skyrim with HD texture mods and a performance friendly ENB.
