DariusMoranda
Ok I came back at home ,thrilled and excited to continue with our mod progress, but I had to run on a 'cape' problem. Why do NPC's refuse to wear a cape when you put it in their inventory? I tried with the 'amulet' thing, nothing.Tail slot as well. Is there any possible solution for this? Thanks in advance Darius
David Brasher
What type of clothing slot does your particular cape use? If a cape from a certain mod used an amulet slot, then you would want to be sure that the NPC had no other amulets to wear instead. I am pretty ignorant on this, but I would think that a mod which used a cape which utilized a tail slot cape might require a special skeleton for all characters who were intended to wear this cape. But I am not certain of that. What cape mod are you using? Is your cape dependent upon having another mod activated? I saw this mod that addresses the problems some people are having with some mods: CAPES AND CLOAKS in the Amulet Slot for Companions to Equip

I don't use capes and cloaks mod, I use an armor mod which comes with a cape as well. The cape is added manually, without an esp dependent . It uses a tail slot, I saw it when I loaded up that file only to see if I missed something,so I made the same one, but still had no luck. And I moved everything else from the inventory to see if that helps at all, and again, a failure. :wallbash: Bethesda should have made some capes for this game. :wallbash:
L33Nexus
A good friend of mine Unavi managed to make his cape animated. (When you jump it has fall time) It's not amazingly hard to do either and it looks awesome :) but I don't really know how to get the cape to go on, it should do it. LFact
1. NPC won't wear any tail-slot item. You can use force-equipping mod like LT_EquipTailItem, but do not try to make many NPCs wear them. The author warned it can make the game crash.2. If the NPC has tail, wearing tail-slot items will cause losing tail.
LHammonds
The best way is to just make a custom cuirass/shirt and combine them. When they wear the shirt/cuirass, the cape goes with it. LHammonds
