Archive Invalidation & Texture Replacer

I am trying to install Koldorns Cave Textures.

 

I added the textures to my ArchiveInvalidation.txt file, but when I loaded the game everything was Jet Black. From what I understand, this is because of bad or missing Normal Maps, so I added the normal maps to the ArchiveInvalidation.txt file as well.

 

With both the textures and normal maps added, the textures were purple instead of black, indicating that the game now no longer seemed to know where the textures were at all.

 

 

I also tried ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated!.bsa and added it to my Oblivion.ini file just before the Oblivion textures as directed so it looks like this:

SArchiveList=Oblivion - Meshes.bsa, ArchiveInvalidationInvalidated!.bsa, Oblivion - Textures - Compressed.bsa, etc.

 

However, that seems to have no effect whatsoever.

So you placed that line of archive invalidation at all the inis?

And you can't use both the .txt and .bsa/ini replacer at the same time, that'll surely conflict.

OK, my bad. I had copied the textures to \dungeons\caves\caves rather than dungeons\caves.

 

OMG these are beautiful!

 

 

However, ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated! still seems to have no effect whatsoever. I guess I'll play around with it some more when I'm done oogling over these new caves!
