Klytius
I've been having some problems when making a new game. This problem has in all the many times of attempting making a new game, been skipped once. So it seems to happen by a high, high chance as far as I know. And I have no clue which mod it is, since it only ever happened downloading new mods, but after Trial and Error, none of them being uninstalled has fixed it, and I'm still stuck with this problem. The problem is a bit simple. No it's not frozen screen or crashing! I seem to be in an endless running/walking animation. http://stream1.gifsoup.com/view6/20140907/5104444/problems-o.gif I don't know how to fix it, and I'd like it if someone could please help.. iXenite
Seeing your load order would help. Also, if you don't already have them - get LOOT and TESVEdit. Both are needed to troubleshoot and fix load order and mod conflicts.
NewThalos
This is sort of wild. Do you mean to tell us that on a fresh install, brand new game, (no saved game files or hacked quick start save) you're getting to that room in Helgen Keep and it creates an animation of you running into the room over and over again? There's something you're not telling us that is the missing part of this puzzle. Fresh vanilla start (not loading any save game) right? If you answered "No" and are loading a save game file either to skip the intro, etc--- then that's one of your culprits. You'll need to thoroughly clean that save game, starting with the scripts. Cleaning your save with script cleaner is a good start. Plus, when you uninstall mods to test which one is breaking your game, you need to run the above script cleaner to wipe out all of the left over garbage inside said save which would have caused the loop to begin with. Just to clarify, removing mods is not enough without removing the leftover files that those removed mods left behind. Once the script cleaner is open, load the save game you want to clean and make ONLY the following steps: 1) Click the "Open" button in order to load the save game file that you want to clean2) Click the "Fix All #->" button.3) Click the "Fix Script Instances" button4) Click the "Save" button in order to save the newly cleaned file. Here is a picture of the menu with pointers indicating Step 1-4: http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn91/zhalls/Skyrim%20Troubleshooting/savetool.jpg Help by confirming whether or not you're using some sort of save game method for starting your "new" game and whether or not you've completed the above steps in cleaning the save file that you've removed mods from and are trying to see which one is the dirty culprit that is causing you this grief. Once you've confirmed and completed the above steps, give us an update so we can ask more questions and dig in deeper. Klytius
Seeing your load order would help. Also, if you don't already have them - get LOOT and TESVEdit. Both are needed to troubleshoot and fix load order and mod conflicts. I've already used LOOT and TESVEdit, it's still wacky. It also doesn't just happen there, but only in the instance for Helgen, so at any moment in time, from the moment I get up after the Dragon, to when I leave the cave with whoever I chose, this will happen at any point in between. Klytius
As for SkyrimCliff, I really didn't know that. Thank you for the info, and I'll try the script cleaner!~ Vanilla save? As in a brand new game, not a reloaded brand new game? Well, it's brand new. Not a previously loaded new game.I'd take the ride to the chopping block, sometimes the horse will wack out and the cart just goes flying all over the place, dragging on the road, (Recorded a video), cart is misplaced at the end. Character walks to the spot it needs to be at, and continues the script. In fact, that was the first and only time the game didn't cause this frozen walking/running animation. Weirdly enough.. I suggest deleting all of your save games and then starting a brand new save game and seeing what happens. Also, remove all of your mods too. All of them. It's best we see if it persists regardless. If not, add one at a time. Also, make sure to take a look at the other posters comment, he's completely right on a lot of stuff. Worth a look. UPDATE: What mods do you have installed? Show us the entire load order. You may have things that conflict with the into, like Immersive Armors or Helgen Reborn. Klytius
..... Well, I did try the script cleaning application, and.... there was nothing... I opened the save, and clicked on both buttons, said there was absolutely 0 problems wrong. 0 scripts and 0 instances removed. Surely it will fix if I take off all mods, but it's just the wait it will take to load them all up... I'd also need to remember which ones that there were. What sort of alternative start type mods are you using? Helgen Reborn by chance? If you're using Helgan Reborn, then you need to use a mod such as Alternate Start - Live Another Life so that you can skip the almost certain bugged up Helgan area caused by you starting inside an already destroyed Helgan Keep. What you said about the carriage turning over and stuff screams to me that you're using a mod that changes aspects of Helgan Keep, thus forcing you to have to use an alternative start mod so you begin the game somewhere other than Helgen. Nope, not at all. Not using either. As I said, I start with the carriage. No aspect of Helgan has been changed, and I'm using Requiem so Alternate Start wouldn't work anyways. Before you ask, yes, I uninstalled Requiem and any other mod requiring it too, then reinstalled when I saw the problem persisted. The strange bug with the carriage ride, I don't know how it started, it's actually happened a few times, but only once, that time where everything else went peachy, it didn't flip upside-down, and wouldn't move any further.
