I've been playing it off and on since it was released, after eight years it still manages to surprise me once in a while. I honestly can't say that about any other video game.

 

Between Oblivion's huge modding community and structure (extensive side quests etc) it adds up to nearly infinite replay value. I would have paid my $50 just for the Construction Set.

Plus it's a game that you can't resist modding every time you reinstall for a replay

With the right mods you can transform Oblivion into a completely new game, and even make it look like a current gen game (if you have the computer specs). My favorite are land mass mods.

I'm still playing it I don’t check Oblivion mods much but I try to check at lest once a week never know if some gem I might find. They are still selling copies of this game heck even Morrowind and ppl are still modding that although not as much activity as Oblivion.

I don't think there's a more ravenous modding community than that for the TES games. The Morrowind guys kicked out a massive overhaul last year and Oblivion is constantly being refreshed. Skyrim's just getting warmed up.

 

Not since Neverwinter Nights 1 have I seen such a showing.
