I dont know about you guys but underwater seems dead like there is nothing under there i recall a mod from morrowind that added fish and sharks (not fishing academy a different one) i think someone should make a mod for oblivion that does that

More to the point what do you guys think of underwater life more ?

I haven't done any underwater exploring in Oblivion yet. Nothing ever attacked when I swam across rivers though. I found some CE waterwalking shoes early on so I mostly use those to cross water.

There are water breathing spells/scrolls/potions like in Morrowind. Are there slaughterfish in the sea offshore of Anvil? What about the depths of Niben Bay near Bravil? If I had an Argonian character I would go and check. My Redguard doesn't swim too well.

Underwater life in Oblivion is sorely lacking...even Morrowind had more life than this! (Dreugh, small slaughterfish, large slaughterfish.)

In Daggerfall I encountered Dreugh (looked the best in that game, a combination of Oblivion and Morrowind Dreugh) as well as Slaughterfish.

What is interesting about Oblivion is the extra swimming animation they added to certain animals. Dogs and Wolves for example. However, I think they seriously needed to fill up the waters more and making a dreugh into a land dreugh...well that was just stupid!!!

It would be nice but I doubt it would be possible. At least not without an awfull lot of work.

Re the original question, I have found one or two slaughterfish in the lake around the imperial city. But most water places seem to be entirely devoid of life; a shame.

An argonian underwater city sounds interesting, but I'm sure it would be a lot of work (primarily lots of new architecture if it's not to look entirely out of place). Maybe as half-way measure: a sunken/flooded city.

But it's probably not possible to talk underwater anyway?
