Should I bash/tes5edit?

Hi all,

I'm looking for some help as I've been away from skyrim for a while, and since I was here LOOT has appeared and some things seem to have changed.

My basic question is, should I make a bashed patch anymore? And should I do the tes5edit merged patch trick too? Here is my mod list (had to get it from skse log file, as I cant export a txt file from LOOT, cant even copy the text....

Hi Axeface.

 

The short answer is yes, you should always make bashed patches. They not only merge certain mods in order to increase compatibility but they also fix all sorts of other things that make for a better load order. In the "rebuild patch" menu, make sure the following is checked:

 

• Merge Patches
• Import Names
• Import Stats
• Leveled Lists

 

And make sure the following boxes are NOT checked.

• Alias Mod Names
• Tweak Settings

NOTE: Tweak Settings is a subjective optional that pertains largely to the mods that were merged into bashed patch. If you want to take advantage and use some of these tweaked settings, then you are free to do so, although they are not required as far as your primary objective, which is to created a bashed (compatibility) patch of everything in your load order that requires it.

I asked about this , (Wrinkly answered) but its not gonna change....BUT you can actually copy the LOOT log...just have to do it the old fashioned way...:)

 

Highlight the entire _> right side of LOOT....Press [ctrl +C] this will copy the text and place it in the clipboard for you. To use it you can...Paste or Use [ctrl V]....works. As a real LOOT log is way better then a list from SKSE or Wrye or even the Loadorder.txt. Loot Shows us a lot more. Ohh and remember to use Spoiler tags...
