What do I need to maximize my Skyrim experience? (specs)

That's a 1280 MB version of gtx 570, not 4gb.

From that list the 570 is still the best option as far as framerates goes though, with the 560 ti and the 6950 2gb coming second with quite a significant difference.

The 570 is cooler and quiter than the 6950.

Thanks, that's a good answer! One thing I forgot to mention though, is that my PSU is 450W. Is that going to give me problems?

EDIT: did some research and apparently all these cards need 500W minimum, so I guess I'll also need a new PSU.

Check out my post if you havent already, it may possibly help you. My Skyrim runs really well and my specs are not as good as yours. http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/2083384-my-guide-to-a-smooth-running-skyrim-with-only-4gb-of-ram/&do=findComment&comment=18170624

Not everyone is happy playing with such graphics.

Yea I can understand that. Im saving up for a pc so I can download more mods and have a better looking Skyrim experiance myself, Im not satisfied with the graphics I have now. Fps is fine and all but I would also love to have a good looking game as well

If you're playing on a low end laptop, i have the perfect programs for you, below

check out Boost and Chill, I use switch and boost together ----> http://www.hialgo.com/main.html

one thing though, if you use switch and boost like I do, you have to edit the F10 key in one of the INI's to another F key for both of them to work

I tried Hialgo Boost earlier, but all it did for me was make everything really pixelated and blurry
