Windows 7 Crashes

Yeah, the problem are the virtual cores, which are not supported by the engine. So if you are uing a processor with Hyperthreading, you may need to restrict the engine to the ammount of actual cores the processor has.

E.g. the core i7 2600 has physical 4 cores (/which would be 4 threads), but 8 virtuals cores with with 8 threads if Hyperthreading is enabled.

-> So you either can disable Hyperthreading in the Bios completely or just use the Ini-file tweak to restrict the engine to the 4 threads.

Glitches are minor tings, not show stoppers. I think the glitches are due to memory leaks. I wrote the specs for this desktop, which is for rendering cinematic animation, rather than gaming, and that is CPU intensive and multithreading.

I have no problem with the virtual cores with Fallout 3. The game uses 4 of my 8 threads.

Hi. Im having major crashes all the time. I just finished going through vault 107 and then did the Zeta DLC but since leaving that area i can only get a couple minutes f gameplay and it crashes again. Ive tried going back to previous loads with the same fault. Im running win 7 and tried many fixes including the ini file one listed here and theyve made no difference whatsoever! I have also successfully played fallout new vegas with no problems including all its DLC's. This is so frustrating to finally buy a game that I love only to not be able to play it!
