Jer Cantrell
will high aerobics athletics and sneak skills really help me on the main quest or am i wasting my time training my character to be a good thief, hes a wood elf and also has high stats in alchemy archery light armor short blade and block i can usually find a creative way to win a fight such as getting into a good position and shooting bolts or dropping summoned atronachs onto enmeies but if anyone gets in close im pretty much screwed and im not too hot with magic save the magic in the items i've enchanted is there any chance i can beat the game like this or should i make a more traditional character also any recommended items to look out for would be appreciated
Peregrine
Ugh, let me introduce you to the period. . It is your friend, so use it!Now, to the questions:1) Athletics = faster run = good, sneak as a theif won't help much on the main quest, but sneak does let you get into position for a critical hit, which is very useful.2) I don't see any reason why that character type wouldn't work, as long as you can play it well. wesaynothin
The faster you run helps you alot. Especially at the end fight. It would prob. be smart to get magic. def up as much as u can for always. And try to raise hp, because no matter how fast u are, they do get in close. try to raise some type of melee I would say. but It is all your choice. Ghorgareth
The boring thing with Morrowind is that it involves alot of fighting and magic using. You cannot really choose to be a real thief and finish the game just sneaking around. It is not open enough for that, but still I agree with the things above, it does help to be able to run. And jump onto high cliffs making you harder to hit, from there you can use a bow or something. And a thief is always fun to play! Pob
Yeah sounds fine. Agree with all of above, if you are good with Light armour, short blade and block you should be okay in a fight, just sounds like you might need a few more hit points to survive the bashing in hth. Just level up a bit and youll be okay. Don't need massive amounts of magic to do the main quests althjough a bit of healing and stuff to cure posion, stats etc(Restoration) and some Mystysism for recall, almisivi intervention etc is handy. Level up a bit and youll be fine

Acinonyk
yeh, shouldn't be a problem, my first char. was a khajjit thief, and by the time i was level 20, and had stolen an ebony shortsword, i was pretty much invincible. shouldn't be a prob. Jer Cantrell
Awesome yeah i changed to kahjiit it fits my playing style better. Im level 9 now with high skill points in spear and marksmanship and of course sneaking security and all that and i can see how Cyruss (my character) will be useful later on. I got the kahjiit ring too its very useful but i really want a shirt with constant effect 30% chameleon or somthing.
