Iluventi
will high aerobics athletics and sneak skills really help me on the main quest or am i wasting my time training my character to be a good thief, hes a wood elf and also has high stats in alchemy archery light armor short blade and block i can usually find a creative way to win a fight such as getting into a good position and shooting bolts or dropping summoned atronachs onto enmeies but if anyone gets in close im pretty much screwed and im not too hot with magic save the magic in the items i've enchanted is there any chance i can beat the game like this or should i make a more traditional character also any recommended items to look out for would be appreciated That was exactly (nearly) what my character was like. Bcause of his obvious strength/mana flaws, I just trained for a little bit longer then usual, and attemptd the main quest when I was a higher level then normal etc [should this topic be moved  ]
ShinJiOh
i agree, as my first character is also a bosmer(but an archer) i find the bow and a few good scrolls useful as most of the magic skills eg destruction start at 5(except for restoration). However i learnt later in the game that it wasnt all u need as i find with caves and water, arrows and heights can do u no good. Because no matter how good u waste an enemy in a cave with arrows there's always a corner an enemy hides behind where he can attack with melee  And with water, arrows don't work too well. I know however that spear and long blade are proficiencies of bosmer so training against some cliffracers should improve your skill. :D
Switch
Eclipse's post deleted. Please don't revive an old thread unless you have something constructive to say...
FrozenGod86
By the time you get to do the main quest your stats should all ready be high. I never had to train. I did just fine. Stop wasting time slow down and just live the game. I look at training as a way to speed up to game, why would you want to do that, take you time. Don't train just go here and get some of the artfact to help you on the main quest. You are a wood elf you are sapose to be good with magic so use it till you dont have to depead on it anymore. there is some really good constant effect stuff you can use in that FAQ. And you will use it the rest of the game. Use my motto "Focus on your high points till you dont have to depend on them then work on you weaknesses" Good Luck! Peregrine
Do you have reading problems, or just a problem with authority? When a mod says not to revive a dead thread, its a VERY bad idea to do the same thing a month later! Once again, read the rules and dodge the wrath of mods. "CHAPTER IV - Thread NecromancyThread Necromancy is... Reviving a dead thread with something that has no relevance to it. Like "hey cool" (See SPAM) or "that was really helpful, thanks". Please notice the date when there was last a post there. If it was more than 2-3 weeks ago, you can guess that this thread is dead, and unless you have something constructive that will continue the discussion to add, don't bother." Switch
Technically though if you read that paragraph what he did isn't necromancy. Especially since it actually added something that could be helpful. So I'll let this one slide for the moment :P
the00phoenix
Marksman and sneaking can do well together even against main opponents (like Dagoth Ur). Just get a nice shooting position, sneak :shifty: and let your arrow fly. If you still see the pick pocketing icon when the arrow hits its target the enemy wont find you. Chameleon can help you a lot there, play hide and seek with the gods ^_^. Greetz, the__phoenix
Malchik
I can't quite decide whether this actually says anything new or not. But I'm feeling benevalent. However this has now been revived at best dubioudly three times after it dies and must receive the stake through the heart now.
