ENZON
Hey guys im new to the forums and TES and wondered if there is a display case that you can put items into in game? The ones that I found on tes seem to drop the item on the floor?
Fitzey7139
Do you mean drop them in and close the lid or put them in like a box I think you can only drop them in
Povuholo
It would be nice if someone made a mod which makes it possible to place the items in the display case, in the way you place items in a chest, and that they then appear inside. Placing an item just the way you want it is a pain, especially when there is already an item in it...
daeanor
Havoc is cool, but placing items is a major pain. I hate like heck the fact that I brushed up against a bookshelf in my home, and knocked half the books on the floor, and now I can't get them back the way I want them. Even with the Library helper mod, it's too much trouble, and too easy to knock one item around with another. What we really need is a way to lock Havoc items while we move others around near them. It's not a game-killer, it's just immensely frustrating.
Zadir
I have the Akaviri Stronghold mod, and the throne room in there has tons of display cases. Let me tell you, the trouble of making just the way you want it is worth it. I dont have stuff for every case yet, but I've filled some. In one case I put a Mythic Dawn Robe and Hood. In another, the Blade of Woe. One has a Steel War Axe. Another has a Dremora mace. Another still has two Dremora Field arrows. And my favorite display accomplishment was I put all the clothes from my character's tutorial prison time, including the handcuffs, into one case. The only reason I have trouble with the Stronghold is my character is twelve feet tall and doesnt fit in any chairs. Also, I have the Moveable Bodies mod. That mod is good, but annoying because it's alot harder to drag corpses around than items. Especially horse corpses.
sleaaels
Yeah havoc engine is really spectacular till you try and place items for display, and after some time, the items you painstakingly placed in you display case slip and slide, i gave up eventually. The ones that I found on tes seem to drop the item on the floor? The Skingrad house that you can purchase has a large number of display cases that I have filled with more or less success given the Havoc issues other posts have mentioned. One additional hazard of display case stocking is the captive item attempting to escape. If you put an item in the case that is too tall/deep for the case or otherwise doesn't quite fit, it will act like a bird caught in a box and madly bouce and vibrate while trying to escape from its captivity once you close the lid ;-). I think one or two of the other houses in the game may have a display case or two but Skingrad is by far the best for them.

Rosethorn Hall in Skingrad is the only buyable house with display cases. Not even Arborwatch, the second most-expensive house in the game, has cases. If you consider the Fighters' and Mages' Guilds as your second (or third) home, you can try leaving things in the display cases found in any and all of the Guild Halls and University. Obviously you don't want to put anything invaluable there, but if you desire to place trinkets on display, you could consider them.
