JbMcfee
My Fallout 3 suddenly started CTDing a lot, and then when I tried to save the game I clicked on save, and it immediately CTD'd. Now if I load a save game it'll usually crash, but if it does load it crashes shortly thereafter. Any help would be really appreciate in fixing this... This is my load order in case it help: [X] Fallout3.esm[X] Anchorage.esm[X] ThePitt.esm[X] BrokenSteel.esm[X] PointLookout.esm[X] Zeta.esm[X] Unofficial Fallout 3 Patch.esm[X] Project Beauty.esm[X] CubeExperimental (EN).esm[X] Mart's Mutant Mod.esm[X] Project Beauty- Broken Steel.esp[X] Project Beauty- Point Lookout.esp[X] Unofficial Fallout 3 Patch - Operation Anchorage.esp[X] Unofficial Fallout 3 Patch - The Pitt.esp[X] Unofficial Fallout 3 Patch - Broken Steel.esp[X] Unofficial Fallout 3 Patch - Point Lookout.esp[X] Unofficial Fallout 3 Patch - Mothership Zeta.esp[X] My_Megaton_House.esp[X] Sprint Mod.esp[X] WeaponModKits.esp[X] WeaponModKits - OperationAnchorage.esp[X] WeaponModKits - ThePitt.esp[X] WeaponModKits - BrokenSteel.esp[X] WeaponModKits - PointLookout.esp[X] WeaponModKits - Zeta.esp[X] EVE.esp[X] EVE Operation Anchorage.esp[X] Mart's Mutant Mod.esp[X] Mart's Mutant Mod - DLC Anchorage.esp[X] Mart's Mutant Mod - DLC The Pitt.esp[X] Mart's Mutant Mod - DLC Broken Steel.esp[X] Mart's Mutant Mod - DLC Point Lookout.esp[X] Mart's Mutant Mod - DLC Zeta.esp[X] Mart's Mutant Mod - Tougher Traders.esp[X] Mart's Mutant Mod - Hunting & Looting.esp[X] Mart's Mutant Mod - No Ghoul Raise.esp[X] Mart's Mutant Mod - No Wanamingos.esp[X] Mart's Mutant Mod - Project Beauty.esp[X] RadioTenpenny.esp[X] GalaxyNewsRadio100[M].esp[X] Essential Dogmeat.esp[X] MergedPatchJune19.esp So the last .esp is a merged patch using FO3Edit. The CTD's started happening before I got Essential Dogmeat and Radio Tenpenny worked fine for at least an hour or two before the CTD's began. Thanks in advance for any help. shaftedarrow
I have a particular save file that will let me save at the actual location that the save is at, but if I were to port to Megaton or anywhere else and try to save it would crash. It also crashed when entering the shop in Megaton. But all other saves are working fine and I've not run into this again so far. I'm guessing this is a corrupt save file, in my case. Have you tried playing from a previous save to confirm that it happens with multiple save files?

Have you tried playing from a previous save to confirm that it happens with multiple save files? Yup, I tried with several other saves and had the same problem. I can temporarily "fix" the problem by killing myself when loading the save (on the few times it will let me load) and then after it autoloads the nearest save I can play normally (with saving) for about 5-10 minutes and then the problem starts back up (crashing on saving). shaftedarrow
Hmm, unfortunately I don't have anything else to contribute. I'm not too savvy when it comes to games not working properly. I'm wracking my brain already on why my DLCs wont implement in game. Sorry I can't help any further.

I already figured as much out though, through searching the forums for people who had the same problem as me, and everything is working fine now. :)
