AltreU
eerm peoples, im not gonna overhaul combatthis is a little sideproject - I cant spend a lot of time on it, mostly because Im teamlead of that link in my siggy, and accept to many requestsi can do stuff like deleted annoying merch dialogue, or making lockpicks more commonbut no overhauls Oh, yeah, I'm just complaining about whatever, lol. I'll deal with what I've got. Of anything, DON'T overhaul. It'd take a ridiculous amount of your time and it'd be a hassle to manage. I'll say that it felt good getting some complaints off my chest! TodaY
Ok lol ;pOne thing that annoys me, is that all people in oblivion seem to have strangly assymetric (am i spelling this correctly?) faces... So, a better looking NPC mod too (If im going to redo the faces, they will conflict with any "make NPC's look better mod") - adn I might as well figure out how to make vampires look better then :) Edit - Ok, I'm a veeerry busy person, and I should be building a maze right now, so I'm uploading the file with what I have done so far, it isn't much, but it's better than nothing. Vindekarr
I hate the npc civvies. Im going to sound like a psycho saying this, but I dont like walking down a street, and having every little good wifey and out of work loafer walk up to me and greet me, even though I have 122 infamy and 6 seperate mass murders on my bounty list. Its just not realistic, and the imperials and bretons have such annoying snotty voices it sometimes, when Im in a bad enough mood, makes me want to makes that 6 into a 7. I also think the taunts on npcs should be removed. In some levels it just gets absolutely laughable, especialy in the quest for braided armor in OOO/standalone. If you enter any of the main rooms, the mobs yell taunts so frequently, and are in such large numbers, that they taunts from each single parasite blurs together, eg "ha you'll neyou move lim I supposed to Ive fought mud crayou move like a ha, you 'll never, ect ect. Its annoying, pointless, can cause lag, and is simply laughably pathetic coming from a horde of over arrogant bosmer scum that I could kill with one finger. lastly, I'd like to have some control over my character's "demeanor". Im not a nice person in tamriel, and despite wearing hellish black armor infused with the souls of a thousand innocents and a pair of enhanced umbra swords, they still treat me like a neghbourhood paragon, despite that I often suck the life out of them to sustain my animaphagia, that Ive completely wiped out the populace of an entire vanilla city twice, and that I generaly dont look too friendly. Yet they still say, hello nemesis! as I stomp past, and no matter how many skulls, bones and khorne sybols are in my front yard, act like Im just another neighbour. This just isnt right, realistic, and it prevents you having the fun of the AI recognising your good or evil deeds.

So please remove that ugly sky! :D
ziitch
You know, after reading the description of your mod, highwaymen are pathetic compared to standard bandits, only wearing upperclass clothing and wielding a mace. Why not make paying the money look like an understandable decision, by making him a level or two higher, and maybe give him a cuirass and weapon that's better than your own? Of course, that means what kind of cuirass should he have - heavy or light? I can see him in a lot of the early cuirasses, but when it gets to elven, orcish, glass, deadric, and maybe dwemer, then it looks a little bit goofy. This is something I thought of, you don't have to do it, but... Something that could be introduced, (although it may be annoying), is horse thieves - They''ll attack you if you're mounted, but if not they'll leave you alone (unless you notice or attack them). To make it fair, horse thieves don't really wear armor, just clothes until you level up to the point where there's the occasional piece of chainmail armor on them. Of course, the best thing to do is run away and not risk losing your horse (AI package hunts for the nearest horse, owned or not, mounts them, and runs away), unless you want to gain a little fame. Another thing you could do is make the chance of a saddled horse pop up with them, giving early players a chance to obtain a "free horse" just by killing a bunch of thieves, even though most of those stolen horses should be painted and bay variants - the others are very rare occurrences. This means new NPCs and AI packaging, as I said, but something worth looking into. EDIT: quick idea on the highwayman revamp - I wonder what It would take to combine some vanilla meshes, like the iron, steel, and the town guard cuirasses, strip them down, merge them with the highwayman shirt, and create three or four new "highwayman" armors that appear depending on your level? If so, checking out how FO3 does it might help implementing it in Oblivion. I've always found it funny how an NPC reacts so kindly to a mass murderer. After killing all but one person in Anvil, a single townsman comes out of his home...."Howdy! Seen any mudcrabs lately? Hey look, there's all of my neighbors sleeping in pools of blood! How strange...oh, sir, it appears as though your enchanted longsword-you know, the one that's steaming malice and destruction-it seems to be bleeding. Just thought I'd let you know, ha. Mudcrabs, mudcrabs, Mehrunes Dagon is my best friend, mudcrabs......"You know, after reading the description of your mod, highwaymen are pathetic compared to standard bandits, only wearing upperclass clothing and wielding a mace. It sounds like something one would implement in one of the popular overhauls.
