WereRat mod request

Cause it would be cool to play as a wereRat. the nexus has a werewolf mod so why not a wererat mod to.

It would probably require a new set of textures and meshes to appear more rat like. rats and wolves heads are vastly different, long with other limbs and even body and mass differences. I'm not requesting a simple mixmash of texures that look as if they have no business being put together. I know I'm asking alot. It will probably boil down to modifying the normal rat meshes and textures to a more bipedal stance, along with making humanoid modifications to the textures/meshes along with various animations to bring it to life, tail animations to be precise along with an infection/transformation dynamic which would include scripting. Couple this with background and dialog options in the transformed state and npc interactions and minor quest aspects along with wererat npcs and faction to go along with them. It's an ambitious project to say the least. Were creature mods are scarce on the net. What I have here might be enough to let people know what I mean with this request and hopefully someone will pick it up and run with it.

Let's see, it could be done with nightly transformations or a onetime transformation that leaves the player stuck in their new form if the disease isn't cured in time(which would save alot of effort) then modders could work on the rest of the proposed project by adding wererat npcs, factions and quests to improve or degrade the wererats reputation and standing with the other races or transforming the other races into wererats.

It's a big request I know, but it should be worth it.

I was pressed for time when I made my initial request. I apologize. a simple fade in/fade out transition is pefectly understandable and acceptable. I check this thread actively to provide clarification if it's asked for. I goofed big time an again I apologize. This is a pic I found on the net. Credit goes to a FA user named Staph for drawing it. As for npc behaviour, sneaky, nervous, impatient, paranoid, clepto, intelligent. If any more questions or concerns crop up, ask in this thread, I'm garanteed to check it every 3 to 4 hours.

I believe one who knows their way around Blender (Not me, yet) could simply copy the head of a rat to the head over that werewolf suit. I saw it done before on a goblin (Dunno where.. I think it was in the Elswyr mod), but the effect wasn't all too convincing. It looked like a goblin with a rat stuck over its head.

well, as cool the picture looks, it... doesn't look much like a rat... more like a werewolf with a severe case of alopecia.

i imagine a wererat as a small, nimble creature that can slip anywhere silently, that make use of poisoned weapons, and have special powers like teleporting out if it's in trouble. a being that spends it's time collecting all sorts of stuff in its lair. a misterious race that have existed for thousands of years of which noone really know much about, a race that mostly live underground in their half civilized lair. (pretty much like souped up goblins)

sounds fun. my main purpose was to get this thing rolling and offer some starting ideas, I'm open to other imput and other ideas as long as it adds wererats to the game and a method for infecting npcs and whatnot.

see what i mean? these guys look rat, and at the same time look...mean!, not werewolf, not...stewart little!

hope this helps refine your idea.

oh, btw... i recently learned Desert of Anequina comes with some ratmen.... have'nt seen any of those though... maybe because they're hidden...lurking in some sewer (umm... does deserts have sewers? well anyway, i just read there were rat men)

Oh about my comments: please don't feel bad about them, by no means i try to troll you, its just that i have a very black humour.
