AltreU
My CPU has been running max for weeks, I'm just now finding out why. Hopefully the screenshot is enough...
Fonger
looks like somebody has installed a "folding at home" type screen saver http://wiki.answers.com/Q/What_is_fahcore or you've been goody-2-shoes virused its all in the link
AltreU
Caught, I did get FO3 and Dragon Age cracked. But I got rid (or thought I did) of them a while ago. Oblivion was purchased (20$ GOTYE), but has suffered major FPS issues due to these damned FahCores...seems to work, thanks!
Illiad86
Ah yeah Folding@Home, nothing wrong with that btw, I did some "science" for em lol, If you have an ATi card and you recently updated drivers...when you install it asks you if you want to install Folding@Home and a WoW or something free trial  Sometimes ya forget to untick those when you're flying through the install  Just like those stupid toolbars they always put into programs. AltreU
I actually did have a WoW free trial, but I did that on my own. A friend of mine had this group that he was trying to recruit people to (back in high school, he'd ask EVERYONE). I usually never fly through installation, if I did, shame on me. I read up on the files yesterday and found that it was indefinitely something I shouldn't have. I got tired of the 360 versions of FO3 and DA, so I found BitTorrent cracked versions and tried 'em out. Guess that wasn't a good idea.
Vagrant0
Guess that wasn't a good idea.Apply the fix or reformat, then pledge to never download a game EVER or face similar problems. Piracy isn't even supported by the pirates any more, just the leechers, so stuff like this is very frequent. I'm hoping that this is lesson learned. Piracy isn't even supported by the pirates any more, just the leechers, so stuff like this is very frequent. I'm hoping that this is lesson learned. Like I said, seems to work. Actually, it does work-completely. Might be because I went directly to the registry and eliminated any trace of that mistake from my pc. As I said on another forum, I have no reason to get another game by the same means. Got 'em months ago anyway, removed not too long after. That was before I had a profile on here. Pledge to never pirate games? Psh, I don't even know what it means to pirate anymore.http://thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/Dark/thumbsup.gif
