Marius42
All over Cyrodiil there are tons of display boxes with replica items or rare potions, etc. Nice stuff to look at. My question is, can you use the display cases in your private quarters in Battlehorn Castle the same way? UESP said that all the containers are safe in your private quarters, and nowhere else in the Castle. But since the Case isn't a "container", you just move the item into it, is it safe? Also, there are display cases out front right as you enter. But I assume those aren't safe, because containers in the main area of the Castle respawn? I'm divying up my loot and equipment between Battlehorn Castle, Frostcrag Spire, and Dunbarrow Cave, keeping my armor and weapons in the Castle, rings and alchemy and magic stuff in the Spire, and thievery stuff in the Cave. So I'm trying to best figure out how to organize it. Thanks for any insight you can give me!
ub3rman123
Yes, placing items into the world is perfectly safe in your home. Display cases never respawn, and you can even keep your things outside on the battlements and they won't disappear.
Marius42
So display cases are ok? That's awesome to know. But, the containers are not okay? That seems weird. Do the display cases "protect" what is inside of them? What happens if I just drop an item on the ground? Won't that disappear after the 3 days or whatever? ub3rman123
Outside of the private quarters in the castle, the containers may respawn. To clear it up, a container is a thing that opens a menu, and does not physically display the object. Those are unsafe outside the private quarters there, and in many other places in Cyrodiil outside player homes. You can set items down into the physical world. They won't disappear, unless you've put them down somewhere they don't belong to you, like another NPC's house.
LFact
However, when putting anything on the ground or in display case, sometimes items will 'bury' into the ground or the case. Just beware. The best way is putting your loots in multiple safe containers.

Thanks. Now I'll feel a ton better being able to put all my 1337 173mz on display :D P.S. My save-games are running, right now, at 6.2 mb. Is this normal? I had a corrupted save a while back, which was at save 242, but I don't save over existing saves, I use Fast Saver. So all my saves are new. Sizes have fluctuated up, and down a little. Ex. Save 226 is 6.7 mb. However, this is a far cry greater than the save I had at :30 minutes, which was 1.5 mb, and the save at 2 hours, which was 2.5 mb. I fear that my saves might be corrupt D: But not sure what normal save sizes are? I have all DLC, the cribs are fully decked out, etc.
