Pherion
I've been trying to make an island in the CS, but i have absolutly no ideia how to increase it's size. I wanted something like Shivering isles but i can't get that sapce. No matter how many X and Y numbers i pot it's always the same size. I pot the maximum it can have and nothing, still the same. How can i make something the size of shivering isles or bigger?
ub3rman123
If your system is up to it, use the heightmap editor. It allows you to alter much larger areas than by, say, doing it by hand with the landscaping tools.Link
Pherion
I don't see how this helps. Just let's me change textures? How do i make a new island wihtout bieng the size of a castle? That's what i wan't to know.
ub3rman123
It doesn't change any textures, it lets you build the heightmap of it. The colors on it represent different heights in the worldspace.
Pherion
That's still not what i want.... I want to increase the size of the island not the height of it!
Pronam
If you want to create an island that huge you'll need to start off creating one with that editor or really love the landscape editor. All you do in the heightmap editor is levelling the land from the water so it'll surface. You can't just click and drag a size...you need to determine how high it'll be. If you read all down ub3rmans page you'll see this link.

Its all out of the water but still the size is ridiculously small! I went in game to test it and i got to one side to another under 1 min!!! ub3rman123
IN that case, paint the size of the area in the heightmap editor larger. Try using the level tool on an area you've gotten out of the water already to increase the size.

I think you are misunderstanding the information given to you... I also think you are only raising the height of a single cell instead of doing it for multiple cells which is how you create a larger island. If you sit there and raise the height of one cell that is all the size will be one cell... You need to raise the height of the cells around that cell as well... Pherion
You made me confuse. What do you mean by cells. A guide would be super usefull, specially video on creating an island. Because i don't understand anymore. I noticed also Tamriel haves allot of cells(i think that's what you mean) But how do build on from a cell to another? Because one cell is a square, and that square continue to another right? How do i build in both? Because i have no ideia to build on from a quare to another. If it's this what you mean.
