Starting Skyrim Again, Essential Mods?

So I decided after a long time of playing Skyrim on my 360 I would get on the PC scene, and I have been enjoying it immensely, I am going to start again when my DVI cable turns up as my VGA-DVI adapter makes my games have weird lines in them... just wondering if there is any mods I should play with that I don't already have? Thanks in advance

hey bradley welcome to the nexus, glad your enjoying skyrim on the pc,i did the same thing as you (had skyrim on 360 got bored decided to get skyrim on pc and have been loving it 100x more then i ever did on 360)

i have that exact gpu and the thing is beast  (thought i have the i5 2500k proccessor)

i actually posted some essential mods over on this thread http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/2170654-new-member-greetings-as-well-as-seeking-for-advice/

that would be a good start (natually im running a lot more (like 100 mods stably) but that should point you in the right direction)

hope that atleast helps.

You got most of the mods I always use. So I will list only a couple that I absolutely cannot play without.

Graphics/Models/Textures:

Book Covers Skyrim (Gives every book/note from the game a unique look. Includes dlc books.)

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/35399/?

Unique Uniques (Gives unique named weapons from the game unique skins.)

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/33292/?

Other/Misc:

Follower Commentary Overhaul (Gives followers more idle dialogue using modified voice files from the game.)

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/52019/?

Guard Dialogue Overhaul (Fixes guard dialogue to actually say stuff they are suppose to say but don't.)

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/23390/?

Harvest Overhaul (When you pick a plant and it looks like it has 5 flowers, instead of just getting one ingredient you will get 5.)

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/16553/?

Skyrim - Enchanced Camera (Makes first person viewing mode better.)

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/57859/?

Skyrim Sewers 4 (Adds sewers to some of the major cities.)

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/14351/?

Wearable Lanterns (Super handy if you are using a mod that makes things darker and you don't want to use a torch.)

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/17416/?

Quests:

Helgen Reborn (Adds quite a few hours of gameplay, excellent voice acting, and of course makes Helgen into something other than ruins.)

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/35841/?

Moon and Star (Awesome mod and most of the voice acting is better than the actual game's voice acting.)

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/52397/?

Stones of Barenziah Quest Markers (Good if you are completely sick of looking for them everywhere.)

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/9385/?

Wyrmstooth (Adds an island with some quests. Pretty good.)

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/25704/?

Vampire/Werewolf:

Better Vampires (Does exactly what the name says.)

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/9717/?

Moonlight Tales (Really changes gameplay as a werewolf and adds playable werebears.)

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/35470/?

the processor itself is decent enough but from what ive heard the fan that comes with it isnt that great (im not too familiar with amd as i prefer intel for processors and amd for gpu)

I've only started playing pc version recently but WARZONES-Civil unrest is pretty awesome and it won't crash your game unless you've got terrible ram or graphics card. and if so just use the spell to change the settings to low.

The general rule of thumb is not to use any mod by MGE (the maker of Warzones) as his mods (although very nice) cause severe and oft times game breaking Save Bloat. I mean, if you like it I'm not making you take it away, but I would be very careful adding any more scripted mods to your game as Warzones is certainly piling it in every time you play - and that can lead to broken saves as time goes forward.

Go to "Mod Stability" on this page if you want to read more on Save Bloat:

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/50244/?

Plus, some forum boards from other sites talking about mods that can ruin your saves (if you're interted):

http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/615805-the-elder-scrolls-v-skyrim/67379183

http://www.reddit.com/r/skyrimmods/comments/1xo2in/big_list_of_mods_to_avoid_and_alternatives/

My reccomendation would be to use something like Immersive Patrols in place of Warzones. Just my opinion though, if you like it, and it seems to be working fine - then by all means feel free to continue using it.

Well thank you, I had no idea, I mean I figured there was something a little wrong with it when it's not setting up many random encounters and they're kind of broken, I did clean it but i'm guessing that's going to be of no help is it.
