Iv000 Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 I am sorry for starting a new topic again but this is really important! Fallout 3 has been crashing every 3 minutes at random. I opened a program called "Event Viewer" that should be on you PC installed.I found lots of entries about Fallout 3 like: Faulting application name: Fallout3.exe, version: 1.7.0.3, time stamp: 0x4a40f18bFaulting module name: Fallout3.exe, version: 1.7.0.3, time stamp: 0x4a40f18bException code: 0xc0000005Fault offset: 0x002d37ecFaulting process id: 0x360Faulting application start time: 0x01cb1d9651f0f35eFaulting application path: Q:\Games\Fallout 3\Fallout 3\Fallout3.exeFaulting module path: Q:\Games\Fallout 3\Fallout 3\Fallout3.exeReport Id: 717e28ac-898a-11df-bbd1-e0cb4eb48b0f another one: Faulting application name: Fallout3.exe, version: 1.7.0.3, time stamp: 0x4a40f18bFaulting module name: Fallout3.exe, version: 1.7.0.3, time stamp: 0x4a40f18bException code: 0xc0000005Fault offset: 0x002d37ecFaulting process id: 0x360Faulting application start time: 0x01cb1d9651f0f35eFaulting application path: Q:\Games\Fallout 3\Fallout 3\Fallout3.exeFaulting module path: Q:\Games\Fallout 3\Fallout 3\Fallout3.exeReport Id: 717e28ac-898a-11df-bbd1-e0cb4eb48b0f I searched the internet for the faulting process id, and i found out that both are registry errors! This is the ONLY game that has left entries in the Event Viewer!Something is VERY wrong with this game...I will try to use a registry cleaner and will update this.If anyone has a idea, please tell it. EDIT: After I cleaned my PC for the Registry errors, Fallout isn't crashing every 5 minutes but every 20.Event Viewer still shows errors but now they are not from the registry.I will do more searching and you know... EDIT2: Nope still no success. After 2 years of searching the internet and trying every fix, i give up. I OFFICIALLY HATE THIS GAME!Bethesda doesnt know how to make a crash free game, they showed us that at Oblivion and Fallout 3!Thank god Obsidian is making New Vegas. Hopefully they have a good programmer. The last Faulting proccess id was 0x53c
Fonger Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 For no known reason, I'm guessing your machine is overclocked and/or multi-core both give this game fits.

I am using the dual core fix in the .ini file, and no my CPU or GPU are not overclocked. ( i turn the clock to default when i want to "play" Fallout 3)It is just a badly optimised game...for some people.
