koolaid_man
This thread is a place where people running with groups of companions can talk about their unique experiences / attitudes. My personal group is a mix of CM companions, CM custom characters, and normal companions. First off, anyone who uses CMcompanions NEEDS to have css, otherwise what personality to speak of is there? List of mods referenced included at the end. My party:J'Jynx - Kajiit - Voice of ServokTess - Human (unique race) - Self-contained voiceTalitha - Ainmhi - Voice of Imoen (Cute as Hell)Feria - Mystic Elf - Voice of NaliaKarla - Tattooed Dark Elf - Voice of SafanaAlyssia - Breton - Voice of MazzyMaron - Mystic Elf - No voice (me) My personal party started off with Tess Rysan after we defeated the Dragurukahi threatening northern Cyrodiil. After I showed her around my house, Castle Eltz, we then proceded to clear out a few dungeons. Later, we heard about the new adventurers showing up in this land, and went tavern hopping looking for people willing to travel with us. Coming down The silver road, we stopped at the Roxey Inn for the night. The next morning, I found a likely candidate for our party. Karla was at the bar, waving her dagger around, I guess trying to hit a fly or something... anyway I asked her how she would feel about joining us, she immediately accepted. Tess still doesn't like the way she talks to me, although I assure her I have no interest in Karla aside from as a fellow adventurer. After getting Karla set up with a good bow, we set off toward the imperial city. We stopped at the Wawnet Inn for a few, and caught a mischievous little Ainmhi named Talitha trying to steal some cheese from Karla. Karla was less than pleased. Tess quickly stepped in to Talitha's defense, stating that she was hungry, and might have not had any money. This whole time Talitha was looking up at us with the saddest little eyes, and I couldn't help but "adopt" her if you will. I know now with our time adventuring together that Talitha is no more helpless than captain Burd. She is a little trickster, skilled in speechcraft and in no way unintelligent, she does know how to manipulate people very well. All the same, I'm glad that Tess and I agreed to take her in. With our little group we cleared out a few dungeons of undead and bandits. While staying in Leyawiin at the mages guild looking for spells, we encountered our next comrade. Feria was in the next room, apparently trying to obliterate a Kajiit's crystal collection with haphazardly placed fireballs. Upon being asked what she was doing, she explained that she was a budding mage, very adept in her studies, but without a place to practice. When we told her we were adventurers, her eyes lit up, and she basically jumped on me asking to join our group. She was from nobility, but always yearned for a life of questing. We took her into our group and headed on our way, ridding yet more dungeons of the filth that inhabited them. With our group getting ever larger, we moved on, heading to the west of Cyrodiil. We stayed at the mages guild for a day in Anvil, and then headed up to see the Runestone at Feria's request. After examining the conjured armor, she was very disappointed when it dissipated. We headed back to the road, and were passing by the Brina cross inn when Karla requested some ingredients for potions. I had just used up all my ingredients in anvil myself, so I set everyone off to find some. Feria stood around, looking for ingredients within sight, while Karla promptly went around the Inn to "borrow" some from the farm out back. Talitha Fixed herself on trying to get a morning glory swaying from the roof of the inn, much to Tess' amusement. I went inside to get a drink, and was sitting at the bar when a massive shadow fell over me. I turned around to see the biggest Kajiit I have ever seen staring at me in contempt. He was wearing beat up leather armor, and had scars to prove his experience. I went back to my drink, when he turned me around again and I asked him what his problem was. He went off on a tirade about being disgusted by nobility like me. the fact that my ebony armor was as smooth and polished as the day it was made, and that I hadn't a single scar on my face. His misconception amused me to the point that I laughed out loud. He asked me what was so funny, and I explained to him that I was an experienced adventurer, with, until recently, not even a home to call my own. He didn't buy it. I also explained that my armor and lack of scars were also both due to my mastery of the magic art of restoration and my unparalleled skill as an armorer. He seemed taken aback by what I said, but obviously didn't believe me. I told him to watch, and touched a place on his right leg that was obviously troubling him quite a bit, and cured the Helljoint that was residing in his right hip. He was speechless for a minute, then, obviously angered by the fact that I had proven him wrong, started going on a tirade about how I had no right to touch him. At that moment, Tess came in, with a very proud looking Talitha carrying a morning glory flower in tow. The Kajiit jumped in alarm at the sight of Talitha. He asked what that was, pointing at Talitha, and she held up the flower with pride, and told him it was a morning glory. He told her that wasn't what he was talking about, he wanted to know what she was. Her ears drooped a little, and Tess quickly stepped in, explaining that she was an Ainmhi, a creature created by a mage to serve him. The Kajiit apologized, begging the forgiveness of Talitha, or as he called her, "M'lady". Talitha brightened again and came over to put the morning glory in my pouch, then hopped up on the stool next to me. The Kajiit then told us about himself. His name was J'Jynx, and he was a treasure hunter. He had just come from the ruins of Garlas Agea to the southeast, and had fought some necromancers. One of the conjured zombies had given him a bad case of Helljoint, which he then thanked me for curing. Talitha then piped up, asking "Mr.J'Jynx" if he would like to come on adventures with us. He told her it would be his honor. Thus, our band of adventurers had grown to six. After such a long week, Tess and I decided it was time to take everyone back to Castle Eltz on our way there, Tess decided to stop by the Imperial Bridge Inn, to say hello to that her Imperial Legion Forrester friend that hangs out there. When we went inside, there was a new person at the inn. Now Tess and I frequent that inn very often, and due to its location it doesnt get many travelers. She was talking to Tess' legion friend about Daedra worship. It appeared she was a missionary, dedicated to restoring the land to harmony by ridding it of evil. It sounded like dungeon crawling to us. We asked her about her experience. She had been blessed with the gods' powers (she was a mage), she had brought purification to at least ten holy places (she had cleared out 10 forts), and she loves to walk in the realm the gods created (she's ok with traveling). It sounded like a great match for our group. With now a full party, we went back north to the castle. Now as big as the castle was, it isn't a great place for our party. JJ'ynx was disgusted by all of the lavishness, Karla felt like there was to much room, there wasn't any "intimate space", and Alyssia found the lack of religious adornment disturbing. Not to mention the fact that Talitha was scared of the dark places (poor thing). The only person who didn't have a problem with it was Feria, she said it reminded her of home. So, using my large sum of fund gathered from adventuring, I took our party to an expedition merchant in Bruma. and bought enough supplies to build the biggest camp we'd ever seen. We then hauled everything up to the top of the Valus mountain range, where the old wayshrine was. It was one of me and Tess' favorite spots. We proceed to make our camp, and it was a huge success! everyone liked it, but for one thing. We were all adventurers, so we all know the importance of the "Adventurer's Journal", how else will someone know what you were doing in the dungeon when they find your broken body? Feria had the grand idea to bring a desk to the camp site. Not just any desk, the desk from the Castle Eltz library. The big, solid, hardwood one. So, while the others "guarded" the camp from bandits, I hauled the desk from Castle Eltz next to Fort Facian, to our campsite east of the collapsed mine. Uphill. And with our new campsite completed, we started talking of the unity of the group. No one had any intention of leaving, so we assigned everyone a job. Now, as any person who travels in a party knows, you can't have too many fighters. Most of our party were natural archers or mages anyway, so it worked out well. Using some more of my substantial adventuring funds, I bought everyone weapons and uniforms. Going on a "shopping spree" made Feria ecstatic, the very moment I mentioned going to the Market District in the Imperial city she started talking Talitha's ear off about what she was going to get. First I went to The Best Defense to buy armor. Talitha and Karla picked out full suits of Elven armor immediately, barring helmets (everyone had decided against that early on). Alyssia and Feria opted for Mythrill armor, and J'Jynx scoffed at them all, and got a full suit of heavy ebony. We then headed over to Slash n' Smash, much to J'Jynx's delight, and got a Battle Axe of Draining, a most potent enchanted ebony battle axe. We then went to A Fighting Chance and got two elven Bows of Voltage, some elven Arrows of Harm, and elven short swords for the Talitha and Karla. J'Jynx also got an ebony Bow of Lightning and ebony Arrows of the Blaze. At Rindir's staves we picked up two very fine (and expensive) staves, both called Apocalypse, for Feria and Alyssia. We then headed down to Divine elegance for some skirts for the ladies (At Alyssia's request. Did you know wearing pants on females is an affront to Kynareth? Because I didn't). Karla and Talitha got Red Garments, and Feria and Alyssia got Light Blue Silks. While we were there, J'Jynx got a Concealing Black Hood. Tess and I have already been well equipped for a while, so we sat back while this was all going on, and I felt my gold bag getting lighter and lighter. Thus equipped, we ventured forth, and have been clearing the dungeons of Cyrodiil. I know, I know, I got all roleplayingey, so sue me. Naktis
Really nice topic and the story you've written is really interesting as well. My story is not that interesting. My companions are:Stoker Wolff (I added elf ears to him and changed his hair style and hair color)LegolasNeeshkaKaterian and TreyleikeAnd Captain Jack Sparrow Other mods used:Acolyte Of Kynareth For HGEC_UFFAranmathi Ayleid HomeArmor of the GaladhrimBeautiful PeopleCM Partners Mod BasicElves of Lineage IINew Face TexturesSlofs Oblivion Goth Shop 1 And our travels are pretty boring only Captain Jack makes our dull days more enjoyable. Somehow pose mods I have affects him in he begins to pose. He even runs while posing and it's pretty funny. Also he doesn't like his upper class bed in Benirus Manor (my companions has their own house) instead every single night while he's not traveling with me he goes to sleep in beggar bedroll leaving poor guy without a place to rest. Also one time he pickpoceted me. Here's the story. My character just heard the rumors about strange island that appeared in Niben Bay and she decided to investigate it and took only Jack with her. As soon as she entered Shivering Isles like usual she stayed her helping people and saving the realm from Jyggalag. When all quests were finished Silence (that was her name) bought some expensive wine and traveled to the portal to Cyrodiil. When they finally were back in Cyrodiil conjurer popped out from nowhere. Silence drew her sword and noticed that it doesn't have enough charge so she quickly opened her bag looking for filled soul gem or varla stone and guess what? All ten bottles of wine were gone! After conjurer was defeated Silence asked for Jack to show his bag and all bottles of wine there in his bag. Silence was mad and glared at him but he just smiled warmly and said "How are you?" Well that's it. And sorry for my bad English. From left to right: Captain Jack Sparrow, Treyleike, Stoker Wolff, Legolas, Katerian and Neeshka. koolaid_man
Funny you should mention that, J'Jynx and Talitha pickpocket each other all the time, for the same stuff .
ub3rman123
You thought your party was uninteresting? I gathered a group of the finest adventurers in Cyrodiil (CS&R), and outfitted them with the finest armor in Cyrodiil and the finest weapons in Cyrodiil. Then, we rode out on the finest horses in Cyrodiil to get promptly slaughtered by the finest ogre in Cyrodiil. Stupid salesmen.
