OOO Cape problem

It IS a known bug with OOO, just from an earlier version that everybody has forgotten about.

The fix would be to find the most current version 1.34 beta 5 (which is better in ALL respects anyway).

Alright, I just downloaded the 1.34 beta 5...its acting a bit weird. Some of the chests around me are showing up as big yellow triangles with exclamation points in them.

The crimson cape that was in my inventory has disappeared, and some of the citizens are walking around without clothes.

This is pretty weird...if you have any suggestions on how to fix this, I would appreciate them.

That is an update. You have to install OOO 1.33 complete first. Use the archive version. The EXE is unreliable for Win7 and Vista users. The 1.33 archive is OMOD-Ready anyway. Yellow exclamation marks indicate missing meshes. That is a good indicator that something is wrong with your installation.

Now I am remembering my own experience with upgrading versions of OOO. It did not work well at all. Some of the Imperial guards were OK, but most were either half or completely naked. I had to do a clean save without OOO, then start over again.

Hopefully you have not gotten too far, and that won't be like starting over.

For me, I did start over, completely over with a brand new character.

My own experience with OOO versions prior to 1.33 (which is where the cape bug was fixed) were that as terrible as it seems, it is worth it in the long run.

I am sorry I did not mention this before; I had completely forgotten about it...

No. Even if there was, you would have to identify which of the 31 cape equiping scripts was assigned to YOUR cape. And then, ALL capes with that script would be deactivated from becoming equiped on NPCs. You could always find an equal cape in the CS without a script, and replace yours with that one in the console. Or better still, buy one -- vendor bought capes don't come with scripts.

Alright. Looks like I'll be heading to Divine Elegance then! I appreciate your help a lot.
