Volume/decibel control software?

Recommended Posts

Google isn't helping >.>

I'm looking for a program that I can put on my PC and just tell it to not let any sounds coming out go below a certain level, and none above a certain decibel level. I'll play with it if it doesn't have a feedback option to determine decibel level coming out of the speakers.

I'm am getting tired of constantly adjusting my volume for different things...

Looking through my sound card control panel right now.... in Audio Creation mode...it does have a way to change the decibel levels of each speaker...hmm...at least I think that's what it does lol...never use this mode.

that's what it looks like...same as mine minus the THX button

But videos...I hate it...it all depends on what the audio is encoded in, quality of the video, etc. One video will be so quiet you gotta crank your speakers...other videos the audio is so loud my speakers feedback lol.

Now that's a control panel, what sound card do you have, I have a usb creative 5.1 sound card, it also has bass control and decibel changes, but nothing like that.

Looks like a creative control panel, Creative audio creation mode????

Yeah, it's a XFi Fata1ity Extreme Gamer Pro... lol...that was a mouthful. Don't play around with the Audio Creation part too much... it was funny making Amon Amarth sound like the Chipmunks though :P Older card...but godly...and it was free :P My friend gave it to me for helping him fix his computer :) Makes so much difference in games...makes my stupid 2.1 Labtec speakers sound awesome. The 3D effects are really cool...bullets sound like they are coming from all around even without a 5.1 system. Oblivion gained like 20 FPS when I'm in battles too...just nuts. The boyfriend still threatens to take it out of my computer when I'm sleeping :P

Hmm how are those USB sound cards? I thought of getting one of those when I had my old laptop...ugh you guys think Realtek onboard is bad...try out SigmaTel audio...stupid thing couldn't even play the original Half Life without it studdering every time someone shot a bullet...

The HT Omega sound cards have a nice control panel too...all the higher end sound cards do I guess. OP, do you have a sound card or do you have onboard?

Your question, response not bad at all. I bought it because I'm running low on pci slots :teehee: :teehee: so that was one of my choices witch was a good one, sounds great. It has 24bit real time encoding and all the Doodads that you have but without the creation part, Only 5.1 though. It doesn't have that awesome control panel unfortunately :(
