deathbymanga
is there a mod to make Smithing more fun? I want to make a lot great craftable items, but i always end up crafting a dozen boring iron swords that don't sell a lot and all it ends up doing is weighing me down. Couldn't there be a sort of apprenticeship mod where you serve under a blacksmith and they have you go out, collect minerals, craft the minerals, and they buy them for you (at zero price because you're their apprentice). they'll basically make you craft one of each weapon (might be better with immersive weapons or JeySus Swords installed), and there could be a buff to training under them. you'd still basically be doing the same thing as smithing before, but you'd be doing the boring part (carrying around a bunch of useless weapons, jewelry, or whatever) and instead, you get to train your skill up a lot faster and get to make a lot stronger weapons. There could be a specialist in each village. Like, in Riverwood, the guy would be really good at Iron Weapons, in Whiterun, they'd be really good at Steel, you might have a problem learning Orcish weapons from an Orc Stronghold, so maybe there could be an Orc in a nerebye village who offers to make you his apprentice, and he makes you an Honorary orc for the time being. If you complete your training, you'll be recognized fully as one. Perhaps there could be other restrictions as well, like different masters would also pass different requirements. Like, if you had a master in Winterhold, they might want you to read a lot of books on the subject, or if your in Riften, they guy might also want you to get all your Leather yourself, so you'll have to go hunting to get it. Or the orc guy will make you use the weapons in combat every time you craft them,
Boombro
There is a mod like that bit so old and poorly made sadly. You can try complete crafting overhaul remade.
derder1167
There's a mod that lets you melt down every armor that you have, so that it would be more easier and less boring to get minerals. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/24737/?tab=1&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fskyrim%2Fajax%2Fmoddescription%2F%3Fid%3D24737%26preview%3D&pUp=

Boombro
Well, there are mods to set your own shop or stall. You can mine and ingots and live that way  Why the need for a teacher? You can hire a body guard later to hunt for the rarest ore to make the greatest items to sell (and your body guard to wear and use.) in Skyirm as a role play. You can wear the black smith apron and wonder on foot and make your follower kill everything for you, maybe getting a dog too is not a bad idea.
