EFF Has Broken My Game

Hi guys,

Long story short, a while back, I decided to start playing Skyrim again, and I redid all my mods.

When I reinstalled them all, I used Extensive Follower Framework. Since I was adding so many mods, I didn't notice it didn't pop up in my Mod Config menu (in game). Now I'm having big time issues.

Whenever I uninstall the mod (exactly how it's explained to be done on the mod page), the game crashed to desktop when right as the "Bethesda" screen fades out when loading the main menu. I have tried everything from uninstalling/installing manually, to trying different versions, to manually deleting all files from my Skyrim/Data folder manually, to trying Skyrim Save Tool, etc, all to no avail, my game only works when EFF is installed, and EFF doesn't even work when installed, I don't get the menu, I don't get the spell to call my followers, and they're extremely buggy (randomly will stop following, bug out and fly off, etc).

Does anyone have any ideas on what the hell is going on?

Also when I run loot, and accept my load order, instead of the final screen I get this. I've tried reinstalling it, etc, does any have any idea what the hell is up with that?

Thanks!

The game crashing on load is usually a sign for a missing master.

Run Tes5Edit with all MODs enabled and it will stop with a error message telling you what master file is missing.

I've never used TES5EDIT before, but it seems I run TES5Edit, and select every plugin (including Skyrim.esm??) then how do I "run" it?

Thanks again,

......Click "ok"....

To expand...once you installed TES5Edit. When you run it for the first time (don't change anything)....All the mods you currently have activated should be ticked on the pop-up....just click OK. The Program will run.

IF

it finishes and in the right pane it says.."Background loader finished" then you can close it, as it found nothing Wrong.

IF

it Stops and gives and ERROR. The Error will point to the problem mod, fix it....:) IF you don't understand the Error...post the last 20 lines here, we can have a look.

LOOT...That is a common problem with v6, as it needs an Updated "IE" (internet Explorer). Don't bother ...get the latest Build ( v7 ), from the Dropbox link here...>>>>LOOT

Start Tes5Edit, no need to select anything for your test (all the active esp files are already selected in the window that pops up in front of the main window), after that you just click the OK button and Tes5Edit will run.

Please be patient Tes5edit is building reference info for all your active MODs, if your MODs are fine the message "finished" will be visible on the bottom of your message window (the large one on the right).

In your case I guess the process will stop at some point indicating an error about a missing master file in that very same window, that message will also tell you what master file is missing.

Good luck.

Perfect. The .7 Alpha works perfectly. I just launched TES5EDIT, clicked OK, let everything run through and got "Background loader finished"

Still getting the same issue when I uninstall the mod and try to launch.

You launched TES5Edit while you had EFF uninstalled, correct?

EFF was installed. Should I try it uninstalled?

Yes. It's just that we believe there's some mod using EFF as a master... That's why your skyrim is crashing when you uninstall EFF.

If you run TES5Edit with EFF uninstalled, it will tell you exactly which mod is depending on it.

Not entirely sure what the issue is, but it seems that XFLMain.esm is EFF, and that mod should be completely gone. There is no trace of it or any other XFL files in my skyrim/data folder.
