roflcopter117
Whenever I try to download a 7-zip or RAR file off of fallout nexus I often get a win rar diagnostics message telling me files are corrupted, this also ocurs when I use 7-zip to download files, the only kind of files I don't have any problems with are standard compressed zip folders, does anyboby have any solutions to this? Fonger
I download the files first then unpack them then move the files to the appropriate folder(s) I never try to download them with an unpacking program such as winrar or 7zip
roflcopter117
I've tried doing that, it worked for a little while but then I started getting corrupted files, and how do you unpack rar of 7-zip files without winrar or 7-zip? I wish they would just make people upload files in the form of compressed zip folders instead of 7-zip or rar archives, if they did that then I think there would be alot less problems, could you give me instructions on how you handle these files? BaronofHe11
If these are multiple part rars then you have to to remove the -number before you extract it. Nexus adds a dash and a number on to all files. I'm not really sure why that is but they do. This will cause errors on a few maybe 5% of the downloads. It depends on how the file was packed but just renaming it can fix this. The problem could also be with the program you are using to download the file or your internet connection. I downloaded over a hundred mods and only had a few come back bad that was fixed by just redownloading it.
roquefort
Try unpacking with Rarzilla. Have to say, though, that 7-zip always works OK for me. http://www.philipp-winterberg.com/software/rarzilla_free_unrar.php
