@harrykerr; I believe the above (re-)post was directed toward submissions like yours. You are achieving approximately the maximum download throughput your connection supports. 150KB/s = 1200Kb/s = 1.2Mps. After factoring in transmission overhead, you're getting (from the Nexus) what you're paying (your ISP) for.

Reminder: As explained in the instructions (which were re-posted by another member two posts above) we need the full results from BOTH the NDD and Speedtest to be able to figure out what's going on.

 

Posting one without the other, or something like, "I had poor download times today" is useless.

@hopwooper; Follow these instructions!

 

What should I do?
  • Download the Nexus Download Diagnoser (you can pick it up from our servers here.)
  • Run the Diagnoser, select the file size that most applies to your connection and run the test. A report should be generated.
  • You've made it to this thread. Now you need to post the report for us to see. Click the "Reply to this topic" button.
  • Before pasting your report in to your post, put your general location at the top of the box. We only need your state/county and country. For example, I live in Exeter, so I'd say "Devon, England".
  • Copy the report generated inside the Diagnoser and paste it in to the text box below your location.
  • Open a new window in your browser.
  • Go to http://www.speedtest.net/
  • This is a site that tests your download speed very accurately in much the same way the Diagnoser does. It is not affiliated with Nexus Mods but has a long-standing, solid, safe reputation on the internet. Click "Begin test".
  • When the test has finished click "Share this result". Click the "Forum" tab and then press "Copy".
  • Come back to your forum post here and paste the link from your completed Speed Test report in to the post, with your Nexus Diagnoser report.
  • Post your report by clicking "Add reply".

Southwest (Albany Dougherty) Georgia USA. This is the best I could do unfortunately. It slows to a crawl and fails, over and over, no matter what file size I pick, and I've been trying it for a week. I give up.
