so i DL all three programs (loot, wyre, tes5edit) as well as the manual download for Really useful Dragons, and I cant even click to install the mod. this is also my first time modding

Thank you so much for your work in this guide. I have been struggling with random crashes and freezes lately and I'm wondering that my SSEMerged.esp might be the culprit. Re-installing my Skyrim today so it will be fun to see what happens.

Read the guide where i recieved the 2 forum message from the contributors to Wrye - you should NEVER use a Merged patch for any of the Bethesda games, they actually do more harm than good

This is incorrect.

 

I know for sure that one can use LOOT regardless what game one have installed, provided that LOOT supports the actual game in question.

 

In LOOT at the top there is game menu for Skyrim LE, Skyrim SE, Fallout 4 etc, so just click on that game menu and select what game one wants to sort the loadorder.
