minion5
Hello guys. If your familiar with a mod called Daedric Wargames you know how Oblivion can be transformed into an in-depth strategy game. Its a really awsome mod made by NeoDaigo, who is a great guy. He explained to me that the time he has spent away from Oblivion and RL commitments would make it near imposssible for him to complete something like I am about to propose, but he was nice enough to give me permission to use his great scripts, so the meat of this project is already completed. Alright here is my propsal below: Basicly there would be like 6 factions. Goblins, Nature, Undead, Daedric, Sheogorath Daedric (already made) and Imperial Legion. Each faction would have differant units just like the Daedric Wargames mod. Accually, the combat itself would basiclly be idenical to Daedric Wargames. You have points, groups, and differant units, ect ect. Anyway besides the Factions, there would be one other major differance. The battles would be fought over accual territories. So if i won a battle, my faction would get that terrirory. You would have a commander who you talk to if you want to attack a terriory and try to take it over. A messenger would run to you every so often and tell you that one of your territories are under attack. You could then choose to command the battle directly, or leave it to your generals ( Basicly there would be a 50/50 chance if you lost or maintained that terriory). If anyone is willing to pick this project up it would be great. NeoDaigo also said he may have time to even contribute help once in a while as well. PM me if your intrested and I will give you further details on how we should begin this. P.S. I mod the Total War series and that takes up too much of my time already, so I never got around to learning Oblivion modding. I help out in the TATW mod for Medevil 2 which is constantly being updated. I also help out the Call of Warhammer folks once in a while. So I personally would only be helpful at recruiting members on the forum or advertising. Thanks for your time.

ub3rman123
Bad idea, that'll just get it locked and insta-kill the idea. There's a huge problem I see with a mod like this. If you have too many NPC's in the same area at a time, they'll just stop working. They stand shock-still, their AI fried. It's not a matter of how good your computer is, it's just that Oblivion's engine can't handle too many AI packages at once.

And I very much beg to differ. Play Daedric Wargames mod. It works perfect every time. In fact, everyone intrested should play that mod first, to get the feel of what it would be like. Very very awsome mod.
