lofgren
Integrating other mods is almost always more work. At the very least I have to download this mod, figure out how it works, find a way to hook into its systems, and then make my mod use those systems. That's hours to days worth of work, depending on how complex the mod is and how much documentation is available. I don't even know what mod you are talking about because a search for "Separate Prices" on the Nexus revealed nothing. In the end I would have a mod that is dependent on another mod that a user may or may not want. Heck, I don't even want it so I couldn't even use my own mod. It's a lot more work for a product that is less useful.

Mattiewagg
sorry to be rude, but all it seems you do is complain that ideas that other people give take too much work to do. A lot of the time, they do. People don't realize how hard they are. Secondly, he did it, which is great. Thirdly, it's a whole lot more work to do a mod than to give an idea. As someone who might and has created these requests, he should be credited for that. And yeah... Wow.
deathbymanga
I did apologize, i even was very hesitant about posting that comment, but in the end, a part of me won out. I know it can be more work, i just don't see value in talking like that. Stick to the golden line of a Producer "I'll look into that". You can even add something like, "I'm looking for something a bit different". making comments like its too much work just feels like complaints and excuses, even if they have 100% of the weight backing it. Not discrediting the work, just the way you explain the work

Not discrediting the work, just the way you explain the work Your preemptive apology is worth nothing to me. I don't have to make excuses to you. I have absolutely no obligation to you whatsoever. Of the two suggestions that you made in this thread, I implemented one of them. The other I gave no less than four reasons that I would not be implementing, one of which was that is was more work. More importantly, it is was more work for a worse product. More limited in its uses. More time investment. Less appealing. More complicated. If you don't want to hear what people think of your ideas, stop sharing them.
Mattiewagg
I want to say something here, which is my opinion regarding requests: When somebody takes the time and effort to implement a request you made, because you could not do it for one reason or another, you have no right to complain to them about how they implemented it. If you don't like how they did it, then do it yourself. You can't? Then too bad. That's how they made it. It is your idea, but there are so many ideas around. Implementing them and the aforementioned time and effort has a lot more value than an idea, no matter how well thought out that idea was. Edit: Modders are NOT producers. They're people providing a FREE expansion to your game. I hate it when people pull the "producer" excuse.
