Best Zombie Video Game?

The question stands, which is the best? Which Zombie Apocalypse is the most gleeful to relive again, and again, and again?

OK let me break it down a little:

 

Most fun new age zombie slaughter: Possibly StarCraft II, Infested Terrans are arguably zombies, and mowing huge hordes them down with FireBats and Helions is timeless fun.

 

Most fun old world zombie slaughter: Either the WarHammer zombie fights simply because nobody does violence quite like Relic and Games Workshop. Or mod Oblivion, because slaughtering zombies as Nemesis never gets old. Diablo had some truly awesome "kill teh undeadz!" moments aswell, but what DIDNT Diablo ace? :)

 

Best zombie flick/best undead related humor: Army Of Darkness(1980s) A spoof of early video games, and just about every movie ever made to date, and still hilarious and contenporary even in the 21st century, this cult classic bespwaned some of the most timeless one-liners in gaming. It also gave us Evil Ash, one of the more iconic evildoers in history, who coined the timeless "I'm bad, and it feels good" shortly before tying his bottom jaw to his head, as it had come loose.

 

Best zombies: I reckon its the 1950s horror films that defined what we westerns think of as zombies. But I think Vodu deserve the credit here. Zombies(Im not 100% on the real spelling so I just put zombie) are a part of this enigmatic religion. and where we westerners draw the myth of slack jawed flesh eating brain hungry freaks from.

 

Worst zombie horror? Left 4 Dead 2. Nuff said.

 

Best zombie horror? Night Of The Living Dead(1950s)

Best zombie themed game: The one that came to mind for me was They Hunger, which is a mod for Half Life 1.

Best survival horror game: I chose other since S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl with Oblivion Lost, Arsenal, and other mods wasn't listed.

 

And even though the topic is about games, I'll say the best movie is the 28 Days/Weeks Later series.

Left 4 Dead (not number 2) and the Penumbra series (altough Requiem was hardly a horror game). I'm looking forward to Amnesia: The Dark Descent.

The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned. I just love the title screens that come up when you're about to fight a boss or meet an NPC.

Borderlands and Zombies are good, but not nearly as hardcore a Dead Rising, its KING.

 

Its Endless, not to mention with multiple endings :thumbsup: :thumbsup: :thumbsup: :thumbsup: :thumbsup:
