Hello everyone;

So after a long time i decide to play morriwond again with some graphics mods i'm tryng to keep it clean as possible

i have installed :

Visual Pack 3.0

Better Bodies 2.2

Some Darknut's texture

Morrowind Code Patch 2.1

some minor texture replacement

Fresh Face II and MEL Hair pack however i got these error when it comes to select female Imperial hair:

TES3Stream Warning: Model "Meshes\Mel Hair\PredIM.nif" tex not found "textures/___work/ears and earrings/earrings_humangold.dds"!

Texture Load Error!: textures/___work/ears and earrings/earrings_humangold.dds

Texture "Textures\_land_default.tga" count 3.

Texture "Data Files\textures\illy\ff2\hair\l_earing_red.tga" count 3.

Texture "Textures\Tx_BC_undergrowth.tga" count 3.

Texture "Data Files\Textures\Q_refl_writing_dark.tga" count 3.

Texture "Textures\menu_thick_border_bottom_right_corner.dds" count 2.

Can these two mod "Mel Hair and Fresh Face" get in conflict?How I can resolve this i want to keep the game stable without mod conflicts and bug

I really appreciate any help you can provide.

I don't know if these two mods conflict. That said this error message:

TES3Stream Warning: Model "Meshes\Mel Hair\PredIM.nif" tex not found "textures/___work/ears and earrings/earrings_humangold.dds"!

Means pretty much what it says, there's a missing texture:

Texture Load Error!: textures/___work/ears and earrings/earrings_humangold.dds

From the file path it looks like it's from this "MEL Hair pack", double check you've installed it correctly and check the archive actually contains that DDS file. Maybe there's a BMP or TGA version of the texture, re-save it in your image editing program of choice as a DDS file. If there isn't a version of the file with a different extension is there another earring file you could rename?

Consensus is that these errors just mean the game found multiple copies of the same file (in BSAs and loose in Data Files), they can be ignored:

Texture "Textures\_land_default.tga" count 3.

Texture "Data Files\textures\illy\ff2\hair\l_earing_red.tga" count 3.

Texture "Textures\Tx_BC_undergrowth.tga" count 3.

Texture "Data Files\Textures\Q_refl_writing_dark.tga" count 3.

Texture "Textures\menu_thick_border_bottom_right_corner.dds" count 2.

Thanks for the answers......I have checked the folder and there is no missing earrings_humangold.dds;

also i tried to reinstall the Mel Hair pack and individually earrings_humand.dds / PredIM.nif without success...

in game when i choose imperial female hair form mel pack after got warned for the missing textures the ears turned in a slighty pink when the rest of the face is darker this hair style however look pretty strange doesn't fit Fresh Face;

Maybe should i try to load the plugin in the TES and save but i don't know if this actually fix the problem or ignore this

So, from what you're saying there is a file called "earrings_humangold.dds" in this folder:

Data Files\textures\___work\ears and earrings

If that's the case I really don't know what's going on.

The error you're getting has nothing to do with the plugin. The plugin will be saying "Hey, when a character is given this hair use the model called "PredIM.nif" in this folder: Data Files\Meshes\Mel Hair"

The details of what texture is applied to the model are stored within the NIF file.

Where's this "Mel Hair" pack from?

Mel Hair pack is from NexusMods...I tried to re download it unsuccessfully

OK, I downloaded the mod.

As I thought there's an error in the "PredIM.nif" NIF, it's looking for a texture file which doesn't exist.

To fix this create a new folder in Data Files\Textures and call it "___work" (without the speechmarks)

Then in that new folder create another new folder called "ears and earrings" (again, without the speechmarks)

Now, go to this folder:

Data Files\Textures\Mel Hair\Ears and Earrings\

And copy the files "earrings_humangold.dds" and "earrings_moongold.dds"

Paste the files into your newly created folder:

Data Files\textures\___work\ears and earrings

Now, when the PredIM.nif is loaded (at character creation or whenever) the texture is sitting where the model expects it to be. You shouldn't get any errors.

The "earrings_moongold.dds" is referenced by the Pblk.nif model but that NIF isn't defined in the plugin so shouldn't cause a crash unless you alter the plugin.

The above copy and paste is the easiest way to fix the errors, you could use NIFSkope to edit the texture path used in the meshes themselves but as the above will fix the crash for you that should be enough.

I got the same error i tried a couple of times unsuccessfully...maybe these two textures are bugged since after getting the error the ears are too pink for the rest of the face or PredIM.nif doesn't work;

I can try NIFSkope but i am completely noob

If that didn't work then I'm all out of ideas. Sorry.
