McMutton
Moving on, a lightly-armoured outfit heavily (Heavily) based on this guy:http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l43/Marshal_banana/Ysguy.jpg A couple layers to this. First, there's this outfit here:http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l43/Marshal_banana/swordsmanunarmour.png And there are a couple of armour pieces that fit over it:http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l43/Marshal_banana/swordsmanarmour.png Now that I'm familiar with the process, and have a stylus, this one should be done a bit faster. McMutton
Applied the base colors:http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l43/Marshal_banana/swordsmanarmour2.pngThose gray armour pieces and belts are gonna have the UV's of the textured ones copied to them later. ziitch
Is it just me, or did this turn into a combination of the pic above and Guybrush Threepwood's outfit from Monkey Island? XD (I haven't played the game, I just noticed the similarities) Anyhow, great set; hope to see more of this soon!
McMutton
Looks a bit similar. There's a bit of Ike in there as well. Pretty much done with the texture. Maybe I'll apply a few overlays to give it some texture (Cloth, leather, metal, etc.). Opinions?http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l43/Marshal_banana/swordsmanarmour3.png
McMutton
Problems. Since some objects are exactly the same, I figured I could do all of the smoothing groups, UVing, and such on one side, and mirror the matching pieces over. But because the Fates seem to despise me and never let anything work correctly EVER, this is the result of the mirrored objects:http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l43/Marshal_banana/shadeprob.pngAs you can see, some of them are completely flat. These are the ones that were mirrored. Now, the problem can be fixed by using the Mirror in the modifyer list, but the mirror plane on that one is completely horrid and the resulting object is incorrectly rotated and shaped, which is undesirable. Any other ways of mirroring the objects? And as soon as I post this, I find the solution. =_=
McMutton
Just need to fix a couple of clipping and texture issues, and then it'll be done!http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l43/Marshal_banana/Oblivion2010-08-0813-24-30-21.pnghttp://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l43/Marshal_banana/Oblivion2010-08-0813-24-56-20.png

ub3rman123
Wow, that looks amazing. Is the texturing on there done from a solid color or an actual texture file?
McMutton
I start with a flat color and paint the detail with mah tablet. Although... Is that what you were asking about?
