Proditus
I want to take out some Morrowind Meshes from some mods and use them in oblivion, and I want to know how to convert Meshes so they work in Oblivion. BTW, this better not be breaking the rule by Bethesda because these are objects made by modders. ________________________________________________________________________________ Someone I know - Did you know that Oblivion is better than Morrowind? (See my expression below.) -> -> -> o_O -> :excl:
Adras
The only way you could do that is if you re-textured them. There is no way to open the Oblivion CS and make a new object with a Morrowind texture. It will just show up how it did in Morrowind. If you do want someone to re-texture an object, make sure they are pretty darn good or else it will probably look like crap. Peregrine
No, you'd just be breaking a few copyright laws by modifying the author's work without permission, and a few more if you ever released it to anyone else. And thanks to the RIAA, we even have a precedent that we can sue for obscene amounts of money in addition to requiring you to shut down the project, delete all files, and face threat of more lawsuits if you refuse. And don't think I'm joking here, if I catch anyone doing that with the stuff I made for Morrowind, that's exactly what will happen.

If somebody did that to any of my mods (converted from Oblivion to TES5), I would probably get pretty freaked out. If they asked first, I would greet them and say "Yes, of course you can! I'm glad that you liked my work!" I have a question:Is it legal(and ethical correct) to convert an idea? I would create completely new scripts, textures and models. The chalk mod for Morrowind just sounds sooooo cool! I couldn't get in touch with the author. (I HAVE tried.) If anyone know him, could you please ask him/give me his email/ask him to mail me?
