Rhydderch Hael
My guess is that any a character who expresses a liking for another character will not "finish" the case. Nels won't kill Dovesi, Matilde will not kill Neville, Dovesi will not kill Primo, etc. I can confirm that Nels won't go after Dovesi, because I've had characters that tried... My last incarnation of Casandra Serein (Cassie v2.0) traded out the evening meal for a bunch of apples. Took down three, and the last two were Nels and Neville. You know how it turned out from there... ...as quick and effortless as it may be, this was definitely not "fun" for the girl. She'll do things different the next go 'round. I'm thinking of forsaking the bonus and teaching these folks one of my very special lessons. What do you think would be nice.. half warthog? Half donkey? Half oyster? Half carrot? Or maybe the Staff of Everscamp+Wabbajack; or Staff of Worms on Victim #1, who will then be wielding the Skull of Corruption while I "mark" Victim #2 for them with the Truncheon of Submission? Naughty girl.
Switch
lord_sindaus, this thread is about 3-4 months old now, please pay attention to the date of the last post in a thread before posting, otherwise it's necromancy if your post doesn't add a lot (see the rules)... still it seems to have revived a bit nonetheless, so maybe I won't lock it for the moment. ^^
Ginji
The funniest bit for me was when I left Nels and Primo alive till the end. Nels kills Primo, knocking him over the railings and landing on the table, scattering the food. He turns to me saying "We did it! we surviv-" UPPERCUT TO FACE. He went over the railings too and landed on Primo :P .
Gafgar Adolis
I was playing a Dunmer Assassin (should've named him Dram, but meh), and I decided that my first kill would be the only other Dark Elf present - Dovesi. Give my fellow Dunmer a quick, clean killing and all. After convincing Dovesi to wait for Primo upstairs, I went up and knifed her in the back with the Blade of Woe. Neville exited the room right across the hall JUST as Dovesi hit the ground, but luckily he didn't see the actual deed. I'd planned on offing Primo next - kill the two tragic lovers first - but as I went around getting everyone's reactions to the murder first Matilde had the gall to say "One less Dunmer in the world" to me. A Dunmer Assassin. Wearing DB leathers and hood. Fortunately she decided to wander off to search the basement right after this, so I followed her down and sliced her up real good. After getting everyone's reactions again, Neville mentioned something to me about Primo helping him out. Since Primo was originally going to be kill #2, I took him out next. At this point Nels proclaimed that he was going to go kill Neville, but apparantly I missed something because by the time I got upstairs Nels just walked out of Neville's room unwilling to talk, with Neville still alive. I knifed Nels next to make sure he didn't try to kill Neville again - I'd decided right after taking out Dovesi that I was going to save Neville for last out of respect for his status as a former Legionnaire and all, and I didn't want some jumped-up drunk Nord taking that honor away from me. After whacking Nels, Neville wandered downstairs in full Legion armor. I was ready for him to come to the conclusion that I was the killer, and then we'd engage in epic battle... but instead Neville decided to tell me to watch his back while he tried to hack the door apart with an axe. Taking him down without any opposition at all was a real let-down, really. And thus my contract was complete, having fulfilled all the requirements of receiving my bonus. I still wish I'd have gotten the chance to go toe-to-toe with Neville though.
ninja_lord666
...Dovesi will not kill Primo...Are you sure about that? When I played it, those were the last two alive; they both attacked each other.

When I played it, those were the last two alive; they both attacked each other.Considering that the first two words in the post were "My guess..."— that would be 'no'. Try as I might, however, in one incarnation I tried to get Nels to off Dovesi (that little twist of the knife in one's back, which only the Dark Brotherhood can bring ya'). Yet it all came to naught. He would not go for it. In retrospect, I should have had Cassie cut Dovesi down in plain sight of Nels, just to egg him on. The Night Mother's Blessing is a cute reward, but it doesn't quite beat the satisfaction that half-insane mischief brings. I mean, why catch them unawares? They all end up the same in the end. The Night Mother's Blessing is a cute reward, but it doesn't quite beat the satisfaction that half-insane mischief brings. You are so evil...I'm not an evil person. I just play one on TV. ;) Casandra Serein has been the most fun of my Oblivion characters because she's the one who is constantly treading on the "road less traveled by" and doing the things I dare not. My first-ever Oblivion character was a male Breton healer... o_O ...A Breton healer. A Breton healer. :glare: A robe-wearing nancy boy who pranced through sunlit fields in the continual search for flowers! Of course, I later butched him up to Spellsword and played through all the "white hat" storylines with sword and sorcery. The first time I ever laid eyes on Lucien Lachance (who showed up after I finished off a suicidal Arena Grand Champion), I cut him down and deprived the world of one less assassin. Only after playing the Mages' and Fighters' Guild storylines a few times over did I decide to try my hand at the Dark Brotherhood. Using this very same noble Breton Spellsword for that task, I found the whole experience very disconcerting. This just wasn't what the guy was supposed to do. This isn't how he operates or thinks. I quit the venture immediately after he made it to the rank of Silencer and pledged his undying loyalty to the Black Hand. It just wasn't something he'd ever actually do... ...so I created a 'dedicated' Dark Brotherhood character, in tune with the attitude and mentality needed to carry out the storyline to its logical conclusion. Since I never before played a Marksman-strong character, nor a female one for that matter, this DB character filled in all the bases by being a female bow-wielding assassin. As such, the girl wasn't bound by the rigid and stereotypical rules of the "white hats". Thus, watching Cassie cut loose in every possible way was entertaining by many degrees.
