Hi guys, my old computer died and I decided to try and replay some modded oblivion on a win 7 machine(admin rights). I had much older versions of ooo/mmm running relatively stable on xp.This time around I'm having major stability issues unfortunately so I'm asking for some advice.

problem is CTD's when loading the intro to a new game. I've tried lots of troubleshooting via wryebash and obmm

Was curious as to an install order for the following:

shivering isles patch

unofficial oblivion patch

unofficial shivering patch

OOO1.33

MMM 37b3

Tamriel travelers

deadly reflex 5 (know about the bash patch issue)

and

QTP3Redimized

As far as tools I have atm,

wryebash

obmm

and boss

as well as an auto archive invalidation tool.

please help &

thanks.

Your order is pretty much it, though I would move QTP3 after the UOP

shivering isles patch <-- Only required if you do not have SI

unofficial oblivion patch

unofficial shivering patch

QTP3Redimized <-- conflicts with UOP

OOO1.33

MMM 37b3

Tamriel travelers

deadly reflex 5 (know about the bash patch issue) --> CTD Hotfix for - Deadly Reflex 5 - Combat Moves.esp

Wait..how would a texture pack conflict with UOP? Is there a Qarl's that doesn't?

Sorry to commandeer this thread, but while I'm at it, could you suggest a decent Texture and Water pack that work good together? I used to crash all the time when I was around any sort of water... I had to uninstall the old water texture pack.

Thanks, I managed to get everything in working order until I installed deadly reflex with fix. Even after removing all traces of it, the ctd is happening again. Shame about that, I enjoyed that mod.

*n/m fixed with bash patch. :)

Because QTP3 uses same texture corrections that the UOP does.

No. It's not a big deal, though, provided you install QTP after the UOP. See QTP3 UOP32 Compatibility Patch for more details.

I use QTP3 Redimized and Enhanced Water V20 HD, and they work perfectly together.

Back to square one, lots of conflicts between mmm and ooo. I'll try some more troubleshooting.

BOSS then Bash...EVERY time you add, remove or edit a mod -- EVERY TIME!

Hey thanks for the input, I've just a question about bash. When you patch, should a novice leave the default boxes ticked? or leave them alone?

What do you mean by the default boxes? When you build your patch for the first time, go through all of the selections on the left of the window, and check off only those options that apply to mods that you have installed -- the tweaks are optional. Once you have been through all of the options on the left, right click on the Bash Tags window (bottom right) and select 'Automatic'. This will cause Wrye Bash to use the Bash suggestions from BOSS, to save you the headache. Once you have done all of that, rebuild your patch.

when you click on update patch there is a window and on the left pain is listed alias mod names, merge patches, import cell etc. By default after installing wryebash there are I think about 2 boxes checked. Was just wondering not to fiddle around with them.
