Male Only Search/Category Option

Is it possible to define a search for male only armor or clothes? If I use male in the search it picks up on 'female'.

Either use "male -female" without the quotes in the search or you can use the tag search to find armour and clothing for males only.

I've tried it but the tag search showed me also female armor & clothes and the male -female search didn't brought me any sufficient results.

 

It's bugging me everytime when i search for male armor (I never use female characters) because most of the entry's (if you organise by Downloads or Endorsements) are only for female Char.

 

A new Sub-Category for Male, Female and Both would be advisable for the Armor & Clothes Categories it would make the search for gender based mods less painful.

 

It's just a suggestion from my side based on my experience here and it's the only thing that bothers me here, everything else at TESNexus works like a charm. :thumbsup:

I am willing to make a list with all the male armours on Nexus if you're interested. Until then you should look at some of the fallowing members files. They all made/make male armours:

 

AlienSlof

Nivea

tda

zertualpro

Andragorn

Axeface

jgreybear

VanillaBeans

 

 

Just to name a few. Once you get to know the people it's fairly easy to find what you need. Of course, browsing all the files you'll find some nice surprises. :yes:

you can either search through the authors, or search through body mods, which may bring you more results

for instance, a search for HGEC will show you mods that have female armors\clothing

it doesn't mean that the mod won't have male items as well, but many of the mods you'll get through this search will have female items

however, if you search for Robert's, which is also a male body mod, you may get some male armors in the results

 

in Oblivion, i don't know of a male body mod that's name is just for male bodies (i mean, Robert's is both a male and female body mod), so this might not work all too well on this case

however, for the Fallout games, this should be 100% effective (since there is no body mod for both genders, or at least none that i know of)

 

another useful method is to know exactly what you are looking for (like a specific style of items), and do a search for this specifically

it may not separate male and female items, but a good search will probably yield a manageable amount of results

I appreciate your help and a list of male armor mods would be super nice but only if it's not too much trouble for you, i mean it's not super important i always find what i'm looking for but it takes some time. :smile:

Yes i've tried that and searched for robert's male in the armor category but the results weren't really satisfying.

 

 

But then i searched in the armor/weapons category and i noticed that there are a lot more male armor than in the armor category.

I've found myself a nice shining knight armor from tda and a beautiful Blade ceremony armor.

 

Anyway i can understand that adding 2-3 new sub-categories might be a bit too much accounting how much armor & clothes mods there are already, but that might be a useful feature for the upcoming Skyrim mod section.

Many thanks!!! :thumbsup: This will make life now easier for me here whenever i'm in need for new armor. The most mods i probably have and lookout for are armor mods, like they say "Armor make the man" ;)
