blueparrot1966
I've got some time on my hands, so I'm finally trying to figure the TES:CS out. The learning curve isn't too bad- it reminds me a little of playing with Lego building blocks. This is what I'm stumped on, and I don't know if I'm just trying something that's too weird, or what. I want to use some exterior stone fence textures as the roof of an interior space I'm building. To do this, I'm rotating them to a horizontal position, which looks pretty good- except that I can't rotate these pieces to line up with the vivec plaza that I'm using for the rest of the interior. It's hard to explain without a picture, but I'll try. I can move these objects along the x,y, and z axes just fine. I can turn things upside down, or put them sideways (90 degrees) to their normal orientation. But when I try to rotate, I can only seem to do it in two axes. X and Y turn the object on the same axis. Am I trying something that is too weird? Am I missing something in the construction set controls? Is there an easier way to do this? Any constructive comments or suggestions would be appreciated. Switch
eh... well im not sure what ur trying 2 do, but... if ur trying to rotate an object, then just hold down y, z, or x while holding down the right mouse button to rotate it in various directions :P if u need a more precise way of doing it however, double click on the object in the render window, and go to the lower x y and z values (under rotation), and alter them manually. just enter 0 in all of them to return it to its default position
blueparrot1966
I know what you're talking about, and I've tried both ways. The thing is, these objects won't rotate for me in all three axes, just two. It's weird. The heck with it. I'll try again in the morning. Thanks for the reply. Peregrine
Solution is probably the type in method then. The view/drag one is a bit annoying, but as long as you know the angle you want, typing it in will always work.
