Cast invis/chame spell

Hello anyone and everyone. The problem I am having is the dialogue interaction with the npcs. Specifically, whenever an npc wants to "activate" me to initiate dialogue, mostly to advance a quest, my character instead casts any invis/chame spell that I have. When I don't have those spells, my character will just stand still while the npc continuously tries to initiate dialogue. This is for regular npcs, when the guards try to arrest me for a crime, they do the same thing, but when the initiation fails, they just walk back to their posts. I have searched dozens of pages looking at topics, yet I found only one with the same problem, and no one was able to answer it :dry:

 

Hopefully someone with the same problem or who has had similar problems will be able to help. This problem is what lead me to quit oblivion for a while :dry: and now I wish to go back to having fun with single-player games again.

My apologies. I am using BOSS, OBSE, and OBMM. I am using some texture packs, such as quarls, forgot how to spell it and some body modification ones, such as body builder v3 and robert's male body v4.

I'm guessing that there wil be no easy answer to this. I can only give some hints based on intuition, which may be way off base. You are probably going to need to troubleshoot this by deactivating one mod at a time until you find the culprit. I know this is a pain.

 

I would start with the stuff from ColourWheel because I know that she does a lot of fiddling with idle animation and stuff like that, then move to any of the "sexy" stuff you have that affects the actual behavior of NPC's.

 

Try Sexlivion first, since that is a pretty big game-changer.

I disabled sexlivion 1st, then all the ColourWheel mods, and then all the mods that alter idle animations and such. None of them yielded the results I was looking for. Finally I decided to disable all of my mods. Yet the problem persisted. Does this have to do with installation issues, or just the game going whack? I had this problem before, started over, problem never happened again. Ty for your help, I am going to start a new game now [i still had old save] with some mods disabled just to be safe. Ty for you time with helping, I guess this problem rarely happens for someone to diagnose it correctly.

I'd disable the ones that have anything to do with spell casting, AI overhauls etc they are most likely to do this IMO. But I recommend making a savegame with NO mods activated.. then exitting Oblivion, enable your mods and then run the game and load the save you just made. See if it does it then..

That worked for me recently but sadly disabling all my mods created ANOTHER problem im still trying to solve.

Nevermind. For sometime it worked when I started a new game, but now it is happening again. i am going to uninstall this this game, as it has failed me time and again. I thank those who have tried to help resolving this issue, but Oblivion is just to unstable. have fun with playing Oblivion, and have fun modding and using the mods.
