jennawatson
Everybody is speaking one language! That is all wrong. Did you know that elven is a comprehensive language with varying dialects of its own? A true elven dictionary is very thick (mind boggling), with thousands of words. And Khajitt have their ownlanguage as well. These two in the least should have voiced actors redothe native dialects, with english in the dialogue boxes. :woot: Ah!??! Wouldn't your new follower sound cool in "ELVEN". notmyhome
I wouldn't understand a word, honestly. That'd make the voice acting kinda useless.
AlduinWorldEater
Perhaps a bigger selection of accents would be best...I can even justify it with a bit of lore. As the new emperor, Tiber Septim made HIS language the official language of the new empire. Learning it became mandatory. Of course, there's always the issue that Tiber Septim was actually a Nord...and the ancient language of the Nordic people is Draconic (or Drakish, however you prefer it). jennawatson
oops.... There would be a subtitles/dialogue box below. (it would require reading though). Two options: 1. Followers, they speak it, but undestanding it is optional (either by a readme, or description page, that provides translations)2. NPC's, right-hand side, a box of text appears, showing a translation of what was said, then the response text appears immediately afterwards. Both text forms using the "same type of code" used to make common response-text appear. A <back> link to go back in case you need to re-read the translation, and <forward> to return to the response-text.
kovak22
why not do something close to the way dragons talk and add an accent like the khajit and argonians?
deathbymanga
Making the Argonian language voice acted would be literally impossible, as the argonian language is not possible by human means

Tajjara
I don't think I'd like them to speak a language, and then read english in the subtitles. That would mean having to pretend my character knows every single language to be able to understand them, and the same with any surrounding NPC's conversing with them. Dudeman325
*snip*Uh, that's Tolkien Elvish... I don't think there's been nearly enough published on TES languages to make any sort of dictionary that would be needed to write all those lines for all those actors for a mod of this scope.
