LHammonds
I think the main reason I play games is to relax and forget about real life, because my life is kinda stressful. But if aspects of the game remind me of real life, etc work, then its just not as enjoyable for me.Then you probably find "The SIMS" about as unappealing as I do. I saw somebody play it once and thought to myself "I have to do this exact same junk in real life, why on Earth would I subject myself to the same junk in a game?" This whole thing (and WoW) makes me laugh when I think about the South Park episode that made fun of WoW...it made me hit the floor laughing when the game creators (in the cartoon) came to the conclusion "that which has no life cannot be killed" which summed up the gameplay rather nicely. LHammonds People play the Sims with the intent of just leading a regular life? Man, I made a guy live in an outhouse and start fights with all the people who walked by, and then tried to see how many ways I can make the Sim die (So far: Aliens, fire, starvation, more fire, work accidents, drowning, suicide, and too many street fights). LHammonds Games like the Sims don't interest me at all. And yeah, every WoW player I know personally plays it way more often than is probably healthy for them. Its just not healthy or normal for someone to sit in front of a PC screen and play a game for 12-15 hours straight.

Chaosblade02
i dont know what grinding is, but it sounds fun Very repetitive tasks in a game, that usually require doing the same thing over and over, beating the same things over and over, to achieve some sort of goal, whether it be a rare drop, trophy, leveling up, etc. Not my cup of tea

Ever played Sims 2? Lots of new ways to kill them there. I've never played the Sims without cheating, honestly, I don't see the point to it. Really, the Sims comes down to playing with a sim to the point they do something stupid and kill themselves or they do something to annoy you and you decide they must die. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KYROWHCr7eo&feature=channel

And I don't remember anything in Oblivion being a grind. And if you are talking about leveling up spells, I set a coffee mug on some keys to auto cast while I was watching TV.
