MoDqUeen
Nynlata stiffned before opening her eyes to a great red sky, she stretched out slightly after she had realised that she had fallen asleep. She was just about to get to her feet when the boat lurched to the side for but a moment, flinging her to the ground. Before her vision even cleared she felt the intence energy of electricity in the air as the lightning lit up the sky. Timing herself,so she wouldn't be thrown to the side Nynlata got to her feet before dusting herself off slightly. As she approached the Captain and the cook she caught a glimps of the might of the storm. Without hesitation and a broad grin on her face Nynlata playfully slapped the captain on the back "Now were talking!" she said as she chuckled manicaly before taking in more of the storm, seeming to drink in its very scent, like everything in this realm, different than it would usually be.Gaining more confidence and feeling a certain curiosity towards the storm Nynlata purched herself on the railings between the Captain and the Cook, making sure to steady herself should the boat take a jolt to the side. evilneko
Soyokaze was just finishing her relatively small meal when she felt the boat lurch. She let out an eep and instinctively spread her wings for balance, knocking over a nearby chair. She blushed as people looked at her. "Oopsie," she said, moving to right the chair. Her confidence shaken, she quickly made her way back above deck. As she stepped outside, she gasped softly as the strong winds seemed to come from every direction, whipping her hair and dress about wildly. She stood still for a few moments, just enough to create a calm flow around her so she could move easily. She spied the captain, cook, and Nynlata gathered, and walked over to them. But the winds weren't the only thing making it hard to get around, and when the ship suddenly rolled again, Soyokaze stumbled. Blushing, she waved off offers of help as she got to her feet again. "I'm fine, really.." She finally reached the captain. "A..are we under attack? This wind feels... unnatural.."
josh900
Takum clapped his hands together. "Ah! Neverwinter. Yes! Nice enough town. A bit too big and cold for my liking though. Was a shame though when it was destroyed. Or rather. When it WILL BE destroyed. Nasty business the Spellplague. Word of advice my dear Waru. Be dead before it happens. Unless it already has happened and you come from a time which it has been rebuilt.. I'm guessing not though. Now. As to where or not i'm from here.. Well.. First I'd have to know where here is exactly before i could say.. Though i highly doubt it. Seeing as how even if this was my own realm.. Well. Let's just say that my point of origin is a lot less.. Visually appealing." He muttered the last words with a hint of sadness as he looked around at the trees. His mood picked up as he heard the loud Roar. "OH! That sounded close. Really close. Rather deep in pitch. Almost.. Reptilian in sound, Draconian. Dragon! Maybe.. That or just a very angry giant lizard. Either way... Probably bad. Though i'd rather deal with a dragon to be honest. They're at least somewhat intelligent and can usually be reasoned with. If you can get over their misplaced since of superiority." He chuckled as if he just told a joke. "Silly lizards." he said half way to himself. "Thinking they're better than mammals because they're bigger and can breathe fire. Had they any common sense they would have figured out by now that they're not the top of the food chain. Oh yes they're up near the top. But no where near the tip. If they were then men wouldn't hunt them or sport now would they?"
Zephyr2011
In a great bout of irony a massive burning corpse slammed into the ground just a few feet from Takum as a great grey dragon created an updraft to slow its descent and landed gracefully, barely maing a sound despite his massive girth. "Would you like a spoon to eat your words human? Or chopsticks if your oriental. That one wasn't very fast, by any means of the word, tried to stab me with a butter knife." The immense reptile laughed. He was simply titanic, he stood 40 feet at the shoulder with a 15 foot long neck and a great 7 foot snout from his gaping maw filled with sword-sized teeth to the tip of his tapering tail was at least two hundred feet. He had a clear look of intelligence and cunning in the twinkle of his eyes. "You'll find our kind vastly stronger than any you've encountered and by the way here we hunt you for sport and we are the top of the food chain you ingorant blathering fool. Now that the usually shpeal is complete, name's Shroud-Sky, welcome to Armageddon, Isla Ados specifically. And you would be...?" The dragon said curiously in a slightly gravelly and hissing voice. The storm was increasing now, the vortex became so strong that within its depths water spurted from the sides crashing together causing great plumes to sky-rocket towards the lightning. On board the ship the captain hollared at Nynlata, "Aye, missie, now we're talkin' ye best not fall into the drink there or them sharks'll have ye for tea-time. Unless y'kin control water or wind ye'd do well to cover yer arse cause this storm aint nothin like the ones from yer realm and it's a doozie even fer this 'un." He said gravely then saw Soyo on deck. "Ho there elfy! Y'seem to have a bit of doldrom about y'self! Does that mean ye can help us get this 'ere ship straightened out and get us out of this blasted, infernal gale? By the way, tis Infernal to be sure and tisn't unnatural but Godly." He said quickly as the cook started to mutter incantations to try and slow the currents down toward the center and increase time around the ship so that it could sail clear. evilneko
Soyo nodded to the captain. "I do control the winds, in my realm I am the high priestess of Faenya, goddess of the wind. I still seem to have my power here, but separated from Faenya I am not sure if I can compete against a god of this realm." She grimaced, and looked at the grim faces around her. "But, I can try." She looked around her, and then upward. "I need to get up there." She turned to the captain. "Warn the crew.. it may get worse before it gets better." She moved away and spread her wings out wide. As she did so, the wind suddenly started whipping around her again. She turned into the wind, and rises up into it, a rain of feathers flying out from her wings as she was lifted up. She spiraled upward, climbing higher and higher until she was above the top of the tallest of the ship's masts. She circled the mast, defying the wind valiantly to remain in control. The already-intense wind started to intensify, as if angered at the avariel's impudence. Soyo faltered slightly, but quickly righted herself. The wind howled, trying its best to toss the elf into the sea. Soyo clenched her fists. This was not her wind, it was not her friend, it would not submit easily, but submit it would. She only hoped she had the time.
XanAlderon
Icy water was biting into Leonardo's entire body as he descended through the water after his sword, its green hilt growing dimmer as it submerged into the inky blackness. His physical strength was put to the test as he wrestled with underwater currents intent on dragging him around, he dove harder but his cherished sword was always just out of reach. His chest was burning but his resolve was absolute, "I will either get this sword or die". After what seemed like an eternity his hand found the sword and clutching it to his chest he started to swim upwards. His head broke the water, breathing in deeply. Great waves knocked him to and fro plunging him under again and again. He looked around for his rowboat and saw it a ways away and grimly he started to swim towards it. MoDqUeen
Waru tilted her head to the side, "How do you know of neverwinter and its future? Are you some sort of oracle that is to visit the realm via this strange place? Or are you attempting to mess with my head. But no matter, i am here as the waters have guided me, and i tend to want to have little to do with the flesh-and-blood peoples that roam Neverwinter and its lands."Waru instinctavely looked to the sky as she heard the beast's roar, completely disregarding Takum's continuous babble. As the beast landed she instinctavely placed a cautious hand on her blade as it started to talk to Takum. Waru tilted her head to the side as it asked for their names rather than eating them in one foul swoop. Without thinking Waru had stepped forward, her own reserve showing in the way she moved and carried herself. Her posture clearly stated her confidence, calm nature as well as her slight cautiousness. "Waru Himitsu, minor water spirit of a land not far from a place they call Neverwinter. If i may ask Shroud-Sky, I have never heard of this place... armageddon, as you called it. How is it that we ended up here? Not that i'm complaining mind you." she said with the right tone of respect in her voice, as she knewjust how powerful and intelligent dragons may be, even if she was in a different realm it would seem that at least that fact had not changed. Nynlata shook her head before answering the captain, having to raidse her voice above the winds, "Sorry no, But if it was lightning, fire or cold then you could of been in luck." she said before watching Soyo take to the skies and attempt to tame the winds. Nynlata streatched slightly before getting back behind the railings and stedying herself on the deck. "Even if i can't exactly help with this situation..... i could atleast stop our little elfy up there from geeting struck by the enfuriated lightning, hows that?" OOC: we work on an internet that connects through a usb internet dongle and we only get 1GB usage every now and then, where im going with this is that its been used up sooo i might not be on for ahwile, may be a few days, a week or maybe not long at all. Zephyr2011
"What we're doin' 'bout this is my best helmsman in the crew is tryin' his damndest to keep us from sailin straight into the Abyss while me n' me first mate are tryin to slow down time in this blasted storm so we can save our arses. The girly is controlin' the winds to try and save our arses too and the other girly is keepin' her from gettin electrocuted and yer sitten on yer ass doin nothin! So grab an oar and put yer back into it before we throw ye over board to lighten the load!" He hollared above the fearsome winds clearing straining under his incantations andspells trying to save his beloved ship. "Step to boys and gels or we're all screwed!" He thundered. Leonardo nearly reached his smal boat when suddenly a massive wave blasted up from the boiling froth, the pressure just before one of the gigantic sharks breached crushing the tiny vessel and a 20 foot porpoise in its great maw. Fortunately for the poor man the currents whipped him around the maelstrom towards the Mad Dog into a still area where the captain and cook's spells were slowing the waters, he was within a short swim of the mighty ship but he'd need to swim quickly to make it. "Well, I presume you got here either by a portal, which are often on-way tickets, or by sailing into these waters while an isle phased into your realm. The realm is a strange one to be sure. Over a thousand islands but only the Pathaura, that' the gods in this realm, and Raedic the Dread know all of their locations, they move you see. The can shift into other realms but are still a part of this one, it's a rather long explanation really, suffice to say your on a big one where the wildlife rules, not humans, there isn't a single permanent settlement on Isla Ados, and you'd do well to respect all nature, there are strange alliances here." Shroud-Sky said to the newcomers.
