Balagor
No. Entertainment is fantasi, and real life is for real. I can still distinguish the real world from the fantasi world. It´ll take a while yet, before I become a "school shooter", *lol*Not that I´m a serious old fart. I do play physical games. Little kids just love me. grannywils
No, but what they have done is brought me to this forum where I have become reinterested in discussing a variety of issues, such as politics, literature, history and the world around me with interesting people, young and old. I think I had become a little too insular, and oddly, while games sometimes do that to people, I still have my other hobbies and interests, but this forum has awoken some of "those little grey cells" as Hercule Poirot would say. And that is a very good thing.

monkybuttface
I started liking paintball/airsoft after playing fps games, I also want to start deer hunting this year. I also intend to get in shape, but im not sure if that's from video games, or a way of rectifying for video games.

DarkNinja13
When I was a child, I grew up reading comic books. As an adult, I got into manga. I have always loved to media of comics, and have wanted to do it. Sadly, I can't draw for squat (I can't even draw stick people very well), but I am good with words. I use the screenshot function on Oblivion to tell stories by arranging them and adding text. Not much, I know, but I enjoy it.

I use the screenshot function on Oblivion to tell stories by arranging them and adding text. Not much, I know, but I enjoy it. Well it certainly sounds like you've got a good imagination ... I tried doing something similair years ago by piecing various sounds from music and nature ... a couple of riffs from ACDC and The Doors along with the sounds of rain and jungle birds was something to grab your attention I tell you.Welcome to the Jungle ... mmmm. But no, I must copy Balagor's statement, gaming is gaming and real life is exactly that ... I have thought of Paintball, but how many females want to get plastered in the colors of the rainbow especially thepainful way ?My girlfriends are just to happy to talk, shop and paint their nails ... their boyfriends on the other hand ... say no more !Perhaps that should be a topic sometime ... do guys prefer gamer girls as opposed to non-gamer girls ?And if so - or not so - why ?Do we relate better or is a female gamer just a bit too much. My personal discovery - guys are tooo intense when it comes to gaming and a females opinion is like 2 out of 10. Ahh men !!!
Vindekarr
Trying to class a whole gender into a single stereotype isnt gonna end well. You may aswell try and herd one hundred pigs into a single small pen-you'll get a few in, but pigs hate being bossed around and some-well, a lot of them, will escape. For me gaming has nothing to do with it. For me the girls I like are usualy the smart, strong willed, self motivated, and determined ones. It doesnt matter how good a gamer they are-if they're some conformist slave for whom nail-painting and shopping are the entire point of life, then I really cant find much empathy. My last girl friend and I were together for some 6 years, she wasnt a gamer, but she was very accepting-she accepted my gaming and modding habits, and my strange hobbies, I accepted her extremely busy schedual and lack of free time. That relationship was a happy one-we really were able to empathise with eachother and had a very close friendship aswell as our romantic relationship-it only ended when we both moved long distance for work and study. Far as I'm concerned, trying to lump "all men" and "all women" into stereotypes aint gonna work, in my experience, the people worth your time and emotions are the ones who defy stereotypes, not fulfil them.
